He made it to the street and went up to his office and deposited his stuff, making sure he had his wallet and he waved to Bayley as he passed
He walked into that coffee shop and immediately smiled, Rydel was at the counter, serving a customer with her usual sunshiney smile and overall glow
Her eyes flitted up to him and a wide smile crossed her face to, Seth really wondered about what they were. They flirted and stuff but he didn't know if it was just that, if it was just flirting or what
He waited in line and soon the lady left and Seth took a step up
"Ah, the Architect, haven't seen you in a while," she told him, bracing her hands on the counter
"Yeah was a little under the weather the other day, thanks for the muffin by the way, it was amazing," he told her and she practically flourished
"Well I thank you very much, I kinda try to please all my customers, especially you," she added with a smirk and Seth chuckled
"Caramel macc, straight black and chai green?" She asked, already ringing them up on the register and Seth nodded
"Shoot, I'm out of caramel syrup, gimme a minute," she excused as she quickly trotted to the kitchen door and went in
Seth tapped his fingers against the counter as he waited
"You know, I've seen you everyday for awhile now, you seem to like coming in here to stare at my boss' butt," a guy with sleeves of tattoos told him and he tried to stutter himself back to life but it wasn't working
"Hey man it's cool, Rydel is a looker but she's been single for awhile," he said
"And she seems like she's pretty interested in you to, so you should ask her out," he told Seth
"If you're looking, that is," he finished and left as Rydel came back out with two full bottles of caramel and she got busy making his drinks for him
"So you busy today?" She asked him and he froze briefly, was she gonna ask him out first?
"Kinda, got this big rockstar dude coming for us to work on a recording studio for him," Seth explained and she nodded
The phone rang and she sighed and went over to it and answered
"Grinders Coffee," she began
"This is she, no, no, of course I saw the notice, but I don't care and neither should you, hmhm, just chill dude," was how her side of the conversation went
"I'm gonna go," Seth mouthed to her and she gave him a wave and an apologetic smile
Seth sat at his office with Roman and Dean as they talked and drank their coffee
"So this dude at the cafe was telling me how I should ask out Rydel," Seth said and Dean and Roman looked at each other
"Are you gonna?" They asked in sync and Seth shrugged one shoulder
"Dunno, maybe I will." He said
"You wanna ask her out don't you?" Roman asked with a smirk
"Really badly," he confirmed nodding widly
"Then go for it man," Dean said encouragingly
Seth just curtly nodded and then changed the topic, he would need to think about this, he really liked Rydel and he really wanted to take her out, so maybe he would ask her out, and why wouldn't he? It couldn't hurt to try right?
