Rydel was at home, combing through her hair, Corey was messing around with her guitar on her bed
"Did you ever go on that date with Seth?" He asked and she froze and sighed
"I didn't need his pity date, and I thought I told you to stop trying to get me a date?" She said and Corey's eyes widened
"Pity date?" He asked incredulously
"Del, don't you see how the guy looks at you when he comes in the shop? Or how he blushes when you flirt with him or absolutely shines when when you laugh at something he says?" Corey asked her
"I didn't tell him to take you on a date Del, I just said that if he wanted to take you out, you were single." He continued and Rydel sighed, she screwed up didn't she?
"Let's get to work Cor," she told him and he sighed and put down the guitar, getting up
When they got there, Rydel saw the other guy from where Seth worked, Dean and she waved at him, taking up her apron and standing at the register
"Hey good morning, the usual?" She asked, smiling politely at Dean
"Yeah thanks, Rydel right?" He asked smiling back and handing her the money
"Yup, Dean right?" She asked jokingly
"Yeah," he replied with a smile and she hummed slightly and began mixing the orders, opting to talk to Dean while they blended
"How's everyone at the office?" She asked and he looked at her
"Bayley's good, working round the clock as usual, Ro's always good, I'm great," he answered and Rydel bit her lip
"A-And Seth?" She asked, Dean smiled sadly
"He's hurt still, the kid's gotta hella drive, he's got the biggest heart and he wears his heart on his sleeve you know? I hate seeing my little brother sad," Dean admitted and Rydel sniffled
"I'm sorry," she said and Dean frowned and took her hand over the counter
"It was a misunderstanding wasn't it?" He asked knowingly and she nodded quickly, he took a sigh and a pause
"Yeah, alright, give him about a week and then we'll see how things go from there," he said and the coffee machine dinged, she sighed and poured everything into the cups and picked up her marker scribbling their names on the cups and then she got out a paper bag and bagged a blueberry muffin, knowing Seth liked it last time
She got a napkin and scribbled a quick message before she handed everything to him and smiled
"Have a good day Dean," she wished and he nodded with a smile and replied
Dean walked into Seth's office seeing Roman already there, Seth was looking through his papers, his glasses that he wore sometimes, perched on his nose as he showed Roman something on the papers
"Coffee," Dean announced and put down the cup holder on the table and sat in the vacant chair
When Seth took his cup, Dean handed him the bag and watched him freeze as he looked at it and then Dean took his own coffee
Seth opened the bag and saw the heart shaped blueberry muffin and bit his lip as he pulled out the napkin and read the writing
'Architect,
I got a new recipe for blueberry scones, you should check them out, come to the shop and they're on the house :-)
~Rydel'
Seth sighed and shook his head, putting the napkin in the drawer where he kept the other napkin and a few cups that she had written on, he had rinsed and stored them
"Seth-" Dean began
"Don't, please," Seth replied and Dean paused, Roman frowning
"Let's just get everything ready for when the McMahon-Levesque family get here," Seth told them and they nodded and began discussing their game plan to secure the contract
Seth was thinking about Rydel, the entire time. He really missed going to the coffee shop, he missed seeing her smile every morning. She always seemed happy and smiling. She was really beautiful
"Mr. Rollins?" He heard and he snapped out of his thoughts to meet Bayley's eyes
"The McMahon-Levesques are here," she informed him and his eyes widened and he straightened his tie and ran a hand over his hair
"Let's get to work boys," he told Roman and Dean who nodded and they all stood up
