Seth's palms were sweating when he walked into the cafe that morning, he was gonna ask Rydel out on  a date

She was at the counter looking gorgeous as usual, she was propped up against the cash register, there was hardly anyone in the shop, well it was 8am, so the rush had probably kinda cleared

"Hey Architect," he heard and looked up at Rydel's smiling face and grinned back, he could do this.

"Morning Rydel, looking lovely as always," he complimented and her smile widened as she begun making his order before he even spoke

"So how'd things go with the rockstar dude's studio?" She asked and Seth's breathing hitched as she remembered  what he'd been so excited for

"It's going well, he gave us the contract," he replied and she smiled

"I remember you telling me you like Mayday Parade," he mentioned and she nodded

"There's a concert on Sunday, I could get us tickets and we could catch a dinner and then go," he told her, dragging his finger over the counter im random shapes

Rydel grinned big and wide as she realized what Seth was asking. He was asking her on a date! She was waiting for Seth to ask her out since the first day he walked into the cafe

"You mean, you wanna take me on a date?" She asked smirking and Seth flushed

"Well yeah, I mean Corey said you were single and-" he said but she cut him off

"Corey? As in Corey Graves? He put you up to this?" She asked, eyebrows furrowed

Seth nodded, not seeing that when he brought up Corey made him ask her, that he ruined every chance he had of her saying yes to going out with him

"Thank you for the offer Architect. But I really don't need the pity date, here's your coffee, have a nice day, excuse me," she said and rushed into the back

Seth stood there, by the counter in comfusion. What the fuck just happened? She thought he was only asking her out because Corey asked him to? Well that was partially true, but it wasn't a pity date, more like he just gave Seth the hint that Rydel was free

Seth walked into his office, red with embarrassment, he gave Dean and Roman their coffee and at his solemn expression, they shared a look

"Everything okay S?" Roman asked and Seth sighed

"I asked Rydel out," he admitted and they shared another look

"That's great," Dean said, not knowing the reason why Seth was upset

"She thought it was a pity date. I swear it wasn't. You guys know how much I like her." He said and Dean and Roman frowned

"It was so embarrassing!" He complained

"Dean, can you make the coffee runs from now on?" Seth asked and Dean gave Roman a look

"Sure man," he replied and he and Roman left to get ready for the meeting they had later on

"We need to fix this," Roman told Dean and Dean nodded

"Big time," he agreed as they went to their separate offices
