Chapter Twenty-Six

Nathalie's Pov

Nathalie's Outfit ⬆

"Ok so everything's already set up, it's just for you to get ready and I'll come and pick you up." Veronica said over the phone, her voice holding exhaustion probably from running around whole day.

She's a really good sport, I mean like she's literally spent from morning to now - 4:03 - running up and down organising everything for the surprise picnic.

After my little breakdown two days ago, Roni decided to help me in telling Kayden the truth. She shared to me a little secret about his dream date ( which I really didn't know he had one seeing as he was a boy - not just any boy but a popular rich boy ). Apparently he always wanted to carry to his future special girl on a truck picnic date. He'd seen it in a movie before and has ever since wished the roles would revearse and a girl would do all that for him.

Roni easily lent me her boyfriend's range rover which she parked in the middle of a beautiful field where we could watch the sun set and be likd those sappy romance comedies- her words not mine.

I hurriedly rushed down the hallway on my way to the bathroom when I bounced into Aubrey.

"Oh my gosh sorry!" I frantically voiced and tried to pull her small physique off the ground.

"Someone's in a rush." She giggled and allowed me to take her hands in mine."Sorry i'm just a bit late. A friend is coming to pick me up."

"Ohhh where are you going? If it's a party can I come?" She asked sheepishly.

"Ummm actually it's a date."

"A date.Who's the lucky guy.Omg I have to get you ready.Yes I have the perfect jeans that will accent that cute lil booty of yours.Maybe I can do your makeup too." She blasted in a freakishly squeak of a noise. It reminded me of a chipmunk.

She looked so excited that I didn't want to disappoint her but I already had my outfit and everything else picked out. I really didn't want to go overboard on anything so I just settled on a simple outfit with a natural look of no makeup. I was gonna be completely honest and opened with Kayden later today and I didn't anything on me that would be classified as fake or not showing him my real self.

"Thanks but I already have everything planned out."

Her smiled faltered a tad but she quickly covered it up to keep me happy. "Oh sorry your late, lemme let you get ready." She suddenly reminded me and moved to the side so  I could pass.

I dismissed myself and continued to the bathroom. Once inside, I stripped of my clothes and proceeded into the shower where I let the warm water run down my skin for a while.

After I was done bathing, I returned to my room where I changed into my Tommy Hilfiger's underwear set and then my slack boyfriend jeans and loose t-shirt I trimmed into a cropped top.

Roni texted me that she was outside so I quickly applied some gloss and slid into my Calvin Klein's slides before running outside.

"Bye Aunt Ruth and Uncle Ricky. I'll be back before 10." I shouted on my way outside as I caught glance of them in the kitchen.

"Bye hu-"

Yep I slammed the door on them.

"Hey chick! you ready for your date." Roni teased once I entered the car. "Hi." I said shly, still not accustomed to our new found friendship. She responded with an almost inaudible giggle and turned up the radio to a song that we both bobbed our head too .

In no time we arrived at the field and I was totally flabbergasted at how amazing and put together everything was.

The sun would be setting soon and it would no doubt be a beautiful view.

"Ok so Kayden should be here in like 10 minutes. Lemme just get the snacks from my car and then I'll take my leave."

In no time she returned with the goodies ( snacks) and propped everything down. My eyes widened at the amount of product she bought - It looked like she raided the snack isle.

I gave her a hug and one last 'thank you' before she left.

I sat comfortable in the truck's tray just staring off into the almost happening sunset when I heard a car approaching.

Guess who reached on time.
