Desmond's POV

There we were, our usual group hanging around at our usual place, 'Rush Hour' a nice and clean diner in front of our school which customers mostly student from our school. We sat at the usual table at the corner, near the large window and next to Katherine Hepburn's B&W photo. The diner decorated with vintage touch. Classic. We had been hanging out at that place since junior high, and claimed that table ours since I had won a bet from a senior. Long story.

Four of us; me, Russell, Ash, and Trent were the current most famous and probably admired buddies in St. Cattleya High.

Ashton Bourne, or Ash was the player among of us. He could date more than three chicks in a week from many places. Most women found his fiery red hair was attractive, but thank God my sister didn't! He was pretty aggressive, he would never give up to get the girls he wanted, but still in a good way; I mean, he liked dating around, but not sleeping around-well, mostly. Not just that, Ash also the class skipper among us, he broke the record with the title student with the most detention of all time.

Russell, of course; Russell Rainsworth, my childhood friend who had an issue with height, but he wasn't that short actually. He had been my best friend for almost twelve years since he had moved next to our house. We immediately knew we would become really great friends when we knew both of us loved Gordon Flash so much. Even though he had problem with his height, he was active in sports like baseball and soccer; well, not as active as my sister was. And speaking of her, sometimes I was jealous with Russell, because he could talk with Rainer so freely; they always fought, although deep down they really understood each other, like what their favorite and least favorite. For example... Told you later.

Trent McKinley was the calmest and the smartest among us. He was a black guy with glasses. He was a role model for us, to be honest. He was a hard-worker, he worked at a bar downtown 'Jazzin' Blues' as a waiter. It was amazing how he could organize his time. He worked for his siblings, because her mother's incomes as a tailor still not enough to raised four children. Unlike Russell, Trent good in keeping secrets, AND he knew my biggest secret of all. I appreciated it when he told me that he wasn't disgusted by my sinful feelings toward Rainer, in fact he always gave me advises to control myself which I always need to hold my lust.

Well, about me myself; Desmond Willows. There wasn't much I could say about myself, I was the type of leader, as a matter of fact, and I was the current president of the school committee. I love John Grisham, playing hockey and chess, and also: I'm in love with my sister.

Ash was discussing, or maybe asking answers to Trent about their Calculus homeworks which Trent gladly answered, Russell was reading the sport magazine to see when the next Euro Qualification match would be aired, while me trying to get my cigarettes out of my pocket cause I really need it right now. Okay, I might be was not the best role model as a president of the school committee; but hey, nobody's perfect, Ash smoked, even Trent smoked, only Russell wanted to keep his lungs healthy. I was worried if a teacher would walk pass the window.

Apparently, I was wrong. There wasn't any person walked pass the window, it was an angel. I felt my heart stop for a while for I didn't thought she would walk pass the big window. She then came into the building through the door. "Hi, Janet!" she said to one of the waitress and she replied, then she skipped toward our table. ""Hey, guys!" she put her white arms around my neck from behind.

"Hey," the guys replied, I kissed her arm, my lips were like on fire, touching such a smooth thing; I loved her smell, she always smell like lavender. I could feel Trent stare at me. She talked with Russell a bit about soccer with a little bit usual argues, then turned to me, "Hey, could you wait for me until five or six?"
