Rainer's POV

"Mooomm...." I knew I shouldn't whine like a baby like that, but it had been way too long, she had been talking to father Alex too long and I was tired. I need to fill up my energy for the practice AND tomorrow's match. She talked about many things, like from the environment turned into how great was the organist from today's mass, and worst about me.

But she didn't even take a glance at me. What pissed me off was that Father Alex also could chat like an old lady, which was why I always hated it every time he led the mass cause his sermon guided my mind into dreams.

I sighed and walked to somewhere else to find somebody I might know. I walked around a bit until finally reached Mother Mary's statue near our church's entrance. I made the sign of the cross and lit up one candle then prayed.

I might have not been as religious as my mother had been, but at least I was better than Desmond. I was sometimes still making the cross sign before having a match. Well, I actually copied that habit from David Silva every time before he stepped on the soccer field. But, like Desmond, I also thought it was better to not go to church at all. Why? Because it was useless for me, my mind always traveled somewhere else, like I had never been in that place. It would just pile up the sins.

But here now I was praying for my dad, my family, my grades, my friends, tomorrow's match, my team, and so on. I then closed my prayers with making another cross sign. I starred at the person next to me and I froze.

God had answered my prayer in seconds. My eyes widened, I wanted to scream but couldn't. I felt my heart sing Handel's 'Hallelujah' like in the movies. It was a good thing the person was still closing his eyes, saying his prayers. God, You rock! Slowly, I grinned to myself, I closed my mouth not to laugh. I got chocked.

He opened his eyes, made the cross sign and starred at me with his beautiful hazel eyes behind his black framed glasses. Yeah, it was weird. Me, the sport-freak, fallen into a science nerd. He frowned a bit and I was in cloud nine, like one of Evanescence's songs. 'Guess it wasn't real, after all...' or was it? Please God! Tell me I wasn't dreaming, especially when he opened his mouth and let his bass voice out.

"You're okay?"

I blinked a few times and checked if he was talking to somebody else beside or behind me. Nope, no one was here except us, whoa... I almost slapped myself.

"Yes. I'm talking to you."

I looked at my right and left. "Me?" I asked him.

"No. I'm asking the lady over here." He pointed to Mother Mary's statue. "Of course, silly. I'm asking you."

Way to go, Rainer. He now thought you were a silly girl, probably stupid. Oh well, it was true actually.

"Oh. Sorry. I'm... fine. Wh-what makes you asking me like that?" Holy Mary Mother of God! Those hairs, I love his short dark brown hair, especially when he ran his fingers through them; I was so turned on. And those lips, my... They looked so kissable like Orlando Bloom's. But instead, I bit mine to hold myself from screaming at top of lungs in joy.

"Well, you look like you've just seen a ghost. I mean, you're a bit pale."

"Am I?" I must be was. "No, no. I'm fine. Don't worry."

He frowned. "Really? You're not sick or something?"

I shook my head. Damn yeah I was sick. I was sick of love.

"Well. That's okay then. Hope you'll stay fit. Tomorrow's a big day, isn't it?"

I frowned. "What are you talking about?" Did he-
