Lucille rubbed her small hands on her protruding tummy. She leaned against the doorway of TJ's bedroom, smiling softly. The party was a smashing success, and their little boy was growing up so fast! She watched as Thaddeus tucked TJ into his racecar sheets, performing the usual "monster-under-the-bed" check. Thad placed a kiss to TJ's forehead, pushing a blond curl out of his son's face. He stood, but was stopped by a soft murmur.

"Daddy? I lub yew."

Thaddeus' eyes softened, and to Lulu, they looked like melted butter.

"I love you more, my little Thad."

She felt her breathing slow, as she took in her family. Her two favorite boys in the whole wide world. Her whole life was perfect. Lucille knew she would never regret her decision to stay with Thaddeus. He was her everything. Her knight in shining armour, her hero, and love of her life. And her baby TJ, so much like his daddy that it made her double take.

Lucille figured she must be the luckiest girl in the world. But little did she know, Thaddeus Junior thought the title of luckiest person in the world went to him.

As he lay in bed, he thought of his parents. He was young-too young to fully understand much of anything. But he knew he loved his parents, more than anything.

He loved the way his mommy hugged him. He loved the way his daddy laughed. But most of all, he loved the way his parents loved each other. And that made him think of his grandparents. They loved each other the same. The tender looks, and the way they spoke to each other. TJ wished in that moment, that everyone could experience that love.
