I stepped away from the man on the floor slowly. Glancing down the alley, I thought how fast I could run before I was caught. I watched warily as the person stepped some more into the dimly lit alley. Before I could register what's happening a wave of relief washed over me.
"You did well." His porcelain blue eyes that I saw minutes ago, were back. But relief vanished, and was replaced by anger.
"You piece of shit! You left me alone to defend myself?" The filter was ripped from my mouth; completely forgetting who I was speaking to.
"I never left you for a minute. You just couldn't see me, I apologize if you felt alone. But I needed them to come out of the shadows to get to you. Me being with you, would have been a hindrance."
A dark and painful chuckle escaped from the stranger on the ground. I watched impressed as he stood up like two limbs of his body weren't broken. "We should have known you were protecting her. We-"
The foreigner was cut off as a hand grabbed his neck, dangerously squeezing tightly. And that hand belongs to Stavros. His movements were so fast it almost gave me a whiplash.
"What you should have known, is to never piss me off." I have never heard that deadly tone before and I didn't want to again.
"Mr. Terelli?" I whispered unsure. These two seem to know each other.
What does he mean by Stavros was protecting me?
I watched dazed as Stavros sent hit after hit to the foreigner's body. I was amazed at the sheer power in each strike and something about that was appealing yet appalling. I couldn't fathom it at that time, but begrudgingly I will admit- I was intrigued.
"You shouldn't have touched my woman. Because now, I'll have to kill you." He released the man's throat to take off his jacket. But he uttered two things that made me shock to the bone. Firstly his declaration stating that I was his woman and secondly he was about to kill a man.
Fanculo!
"Hold on to this for me, mio amore." A smile was sent my way. But as soon as he turned his back to me, I felt his persona change. I have never seen anything or anyone looked dangerous as Stavros at that moment. He spoke before striking but to me he roared.
"Honour before greed!" He sent a flying kick to the man's face making a loud cracking sound resonating the air."You think you could take her from me and I wouldn't know?" He sent another blow to his face, immediately after. "You are way pass your jurisdiction Bykov. You told her earlier that you'll come for her. But you forgot who I am and what I am capable of." He continued.
So he did know
His growl was powerful as he sent a kick to the foreigner's ribs, a high possibilty breaking it. But looking at the man's condition I hardly think talking would be his best friend right now. With a wheeze he did manage to reply to my utter surprise. But what he uttered breathlessly, made my bones shook.
"Don Stavros, that's who you are now but soon she will be your downfall."
An instant reaction came from my brain as I felt a sudden pounding in my head. The neural activity began working assiduously while I experienced temporary paralysis. I felt myself fall to my knees, as my inside eyes recollected a faded memory.
"Don Al Giovanni." A man bowed his head in respect then continued as he passed the father and daughter.
The little girl grabbed her father's pants to get his attention.
"Daddy why did that man call you that?"
He chuckled, "Its just a title Sashanna."
