Percy's POV:
The silence was deafening as Tony and I sat on the couch awkwardly. My mom sat across from us on the armchair as she crossed her arms.
"So how did you two meet?" she asked as we both looked at each other. Under no circumstances whatsoever could we let her know how we actually met.
"Ummm...."
"I ran into him one day when I was walking around Central Park." I quickly interjected before my uncle made her suspicious.
She gave us a weird look. "Okay..."
"Well this was fun but I'm afraid we must be going now!" I said as I jumped up. I hated leaving so quickly after arriving but this was getting really awkward.
"Bye mom! I love you!" I shouted as Tony and I rushed out the door.
The last thing I saw before the door closed was my mom's confused face staring back at me.
-Back at the tower-
As we entered the main room, I quickly turned towards Tony.
"What exactly did you do that was this bad?" I questioned, annoyed.
"Um...well...I may have forgotten to...call her...for a while after our parents died." He stated quietly. My jaw dropped.
"Dude, you messed up bad."
"I know! Is there anything you can think of that I can do to ease her anger a little bit?"
A devilish grin made its way onto my face.
"I have an idea."
