Can't I stop and be happy
Just for a little bit?
To go out
And feel the sunshine
Not like I'm at the end of my wits
Look there's a flower!
With a tree towering over
Oh! And there's a blue sky
So beautiful, oh my!
Can't I stay out a bit?
To watch the morning dew fall off
And so those kids pass by
Oh what? It's school time!
I wanna be happy
Let me have this please?
Before I go back in
That cold room
That always spells out
Dark and doom
So please let me go
I promise I'll behave!
Please, Mum
At least let me wave!!
