I want to be able to read one day
Not to read books or magazines
Or websites about cheese
I want to read the stories that lie in your head
The ones that come out
The ones that are fun
Ones that seem to appear around one.
Maybe at two
Or maybe at three.
All I know is that
We'd be able to solve
Some sort of mystery.
I want to read your thoughts
Little things on your mind
Everything that passes by
Right behind your eyes.
I want to be able to know you.
Know the stories
And the lies.
I want to be able to hold you
Whenever you want to cry.
So stranger let me know you
Whether it be small or big
I want to be able to help you.
Like you once did.
It's time to return the deed.
As once in a while I'll need,
Someone to hold me too
While I relearn how to sleep.
