Chapter 1: Beginning

{10 years ago...}

“Kenma! Nenma! Let’s play volleyball!” the bed haired boy shouted as the Kozume siblings are preparing.

“Mou! Onii-chan, please stop playing video games for a while and let’s play volleyball now.” the black haired girl complained as she was waiting for her onii-chan to let go of the console.

“Hai…” he then left the console and changed his shoes. The siblings then went out and played with the bed haired boy.

“Kenma you’re so slow. Nenma let’s start.” he then tossed the ball to the black haired girl and was successfully received by her.

“Hai. Onii-chan catch it.” as she yelled to her brother who then tossed it back to the bed haired guy.

“Nice Kenma. Nice Nenma.” he said as he received it but then it went to the wrong direction and because of that, Nenma fell to the ground and scraped her knee.

“Ouch!” she said but didn’t mind her scraped knee and stood up but then fell again.

“Nenma.. Are you okay?” her brother moved forward but then Kuroo helped her up.

“Nenma, I’m so sorry.” he said as he looked at her knee.

“It’s alright Kuro-nii, there’s a lake there. I can wash it off there.” pointing the lake near them and tried to stand up but because of the pain.

“You can’t stand up. I’ll carry you.” Kuroo the lifted her and moved towards the lake.

“Eh?!?!” red as she was, tried to stop Kuroo for what he is doing. But then it was too late because Kuroo laid her near the lake and washed the wound.

“O..ouch…” she hesitated and smiles. “Thanks Ku…..” her faced turned red as she saw Kuro kissing her wounded knee.

She looked away and saw her brother smirking. After that she stood and went rushing over the ball and they all continued to play again. The three kept playing until it was dusk and they laid their heads after playing. But with their exhausted body they still had the energy left to smile to a wonderful day.

{At home}

“Tadaima!” Nenma yelled as she entered her house with her brother at her back.

“Okairi Nenma, Kenma. Curry’s ready, but please do wash yourselves first.” she said as she was placing the plates on the table and saw the wound on her daughter’s knee. “Nenma! What happened to your knee?”

“Okaa-san I can explain. I was playing volleyball and I slipped after catching the ball….” she smiled and was hit on the head slightly.

“You should be careful next time. You’re a lady and you should protect your skin.” she explained to her carefully.

“Hai.” lowers her head as she went to the bathroom first.

{After dinner}

“Onii-chan.” she asked her brother while they were both playing some video games.

“Hmm?”

“Don’t tell anyone what happened… Okay?”

“I won’t tell…..” he then continued playing.

“Then what was that smirk a while ago?”

“Secret.”

{5 years later}

Nenma’s POV

*sigh*

“I can’t believe I still remembered what had happened 5 years ago….” I was done washing my face and was about to head back to my room when I paused for a moment. I blushed because I could still remember what had happened a few years ago when I was 7. Before anyone could see me, I hid my face with a towel and rushed to my room. It was a good thing I didn’t trip. I locked the door and drowned my face in pillow squealing.

“Waaahh!! Why can’t I forget about it?” I complained and started rolling in my bed. “Kuro-nii is my big brother…..” I paused and sighed heavily. “Kuro-nii is like my other big brother but….. this time it’s different.” I paused and reflected my behavior during his last years in elementary.

“I remembered that I had avoided him because of the incident but a few months later we were close again. I would blush whenever I see him. My heart beats fast when we are so close……… Aargh! Is my heart sick or what?” I was about to bang my head when onii-chan came inside my room.

“Nenma….. Please keep it down…… Okaa-san will scold us and I won’t get to play some video games.” I looked at him with sad eyes and that’s what he could say?! But then, I nodded and started to open my notes ‘because there would be a quiz tomorrow……. Hold on, my questions weren’t answered?!?! With my confused brain I slept through the night and still with many questions unanswered.
