Even as a kid, I never believed in what you call 'zombies'. It's just physically impossible para mangyari ang ganoon. Isa pa, who would even try to reanimate the dead anyway. A failed experiment would end in a viral outbreak but it is very unlikely that it can cause a zombie apocalypse of some sort. Well that's what I thought.
I layed down on my bed and tucked in a blanket. The cold gust of air from the air conditioner filled the room as I finally start to drift to sleep.
RING! RING!
Ugh! I clicked my tongue as I averted my gaze towards the name flashed on my phone. It's Darren.
"What is it this time?" naiirita kong tanong.
"Wala man lang Good evening?" sagot niya.
Tch. How is an interrupted sleep make my evening good?
"Anyways, turn on the news. Quick before it ends."
I didn't even bother answering him and instead turned on my television where the news already popped up.
Cure.. for Hysmine? Is this some kind of joke? What the hell.
"No this isn't a joke. If this was, then they wouldn't report this on the news" sagot niya ng hindi ko pa siya tinatanong.
"But the reporter already said that the experiment was only done in a few days. At isang tao lang ang tinest nila. Kahit saan mo man tingnan, they distributed unsecured medicine. And how did you- You know what, I won't even bother asking."
"Yeah, I don't even know what the government has to say about this. Goodnight"
"Ayun lang? You woke me up just for that? Ugh you could've just told me that tomorrow. Fine then, goodnight"
"Yup... Love you" he quickly said as he dropped the call.
"What?! Hoy Darren" I yelled at the phone but it seems he already ended the call. That guy.. I would've liked him more if he can do that stuff personally.
I yawned at that thought. That news though. It doesn't really bother me that much, but considering how much Darren likes to investigate much on unusual stuff like this, it will definitely get stuck in his head until he finds something out. But who cares, wala naman akong Hysmine para maabala sa ginagawa nilang research na iyon. I sighed as I closed my eyes.
