"Kuya, pwede na ba ako sumama sayo?" The dark haired boy frowned as he saw his older brother wearing a trench coat.

"I already told you Darry,-"

"My name is Darren. I'm not a child anymore, I'm sixteen." He crossed his arms looking to his side. His brother laughed with his reaction.

"But I love calling you that." He continued to laugh. "Like I said, detective work is a dangerous job. Ayaw kong malagay ka sa panganib."

"Hehh, I-"

"Nope, I don't wanna hear more of your arguments. Bye!" He swiftly said cutting of Darren's argument. "When you finish college, I will be the one to hire you myself in our detective agency."

Darren look up to his brother, Daniel Anderson Peralta, as a hero but also as an inspiration and motivation to maintain a possible outlook in life.

After all, he was able to solve the almost perfect murder of their mother by their insolent, abusive father despite being only 17 years old.

The police department discontinued their search in just only a week and released a statement that she had an accident.

Daniel really hated how the police work even before this incident with their mother, so when he found out about the suspicious case of their mother, he started investigating on his own.

Divina Peralta, the mother of Darren and Daniel Peralta and the wife of  Antonio Peralta, was reported missing after not coming home at the night of August 22. According to her husband, Antonio, he came that night to her office around 1 am to pick her up like he usually do.

He added that when he arrived, she told him that he will be doing extra work and that she would come home an hour or so later. She told that she's going to be commuting for the night since Antonio had to start looking for a job again early in the morning and didn't want him to stay up late.

He reported that his wife have not come home that night and that the close friends and relatives he called also don't know anything about her whereabouts.

The police searched their home and found no evidence of foul play or signs that a body had been hidden somewhere. They asked the three other members of the family that were in the house that night, Daniel and Darren Peralta as well as their grandmother Consolacion Repiedad.

Both Darren and their grandmother were asleep that night before 1 am while Daniel was still awake fiddling with his phone. He told them that their father had come home that night without their mother and had checked their room with his brother.

He found it suspicious that he didn't hear their family car before Antonio entered the boys' room. Antonio told them that their mother was gonna be late and closed their door. Following that was the sound of their parents' bedroom door closing.

What was more suspicious was that around 3:42 in the morning, Darren woke up when he heard  the sound of their car going in their garage. This only proved that Antonio Peralta was out that early in the morning and he didn't have an alibi as to where he was in that time.

They did find Antonio's actions suspicious that night like what have Daniel told them, but they did not have anything to prove their suspicions nor his connection with the disappearance of his wife nor if they are really dealing with a murder.
