My alarm blared loudly as I quickly rolled over to turn it off. It was already 6:30 am. I slowly got out of bed and got ready for my first day of classes. I took a quick shower and went to my closet and searched for a pink top and my skinny jeans. I got dressed and did my hair and makeup in record time. Then, I headed to the kitchen area where Sophie was waiting for me. I poured out some cereal and got a banana.
"So are you excited for your first classes?" she asked me.
"I guess so. I mean I'm excited, but I just don't know if I'm ready."
"Oh you're definitely ready...I mean you have Ellie and Tyler backing you up for this year, and you already have three amazing friends and you haven't even gotten to class yet!" she reminded me.
She was right. I was definitely ready. I missed Tyler and Ellie, but I was here to get us out of our terrible living situation at home. And my friends were here for me, too.
We grabbed our backpacks heavy with books and slowly walked down the stairs. It was 7:15 and class started at 7:30.
Ryan and Connor had been waiting in the courtyard for us to come down.
"Are you excited for today?" Ryan asked me.
"As ready as ever," I told him.
Ryan, Connor, Sophie, and I got our schedules and compared classes.
Ryan and I had Calculus together, Sophie and I had English Literature together, and all four of us had Spanish together.
Spanish and English went by really fast.
Next, I went to Calculus with Ryan. He sat next to me, and we decided we would study for tests together.
My last class of the day was Physics, and I didn't have any friends in that class. I was secretly dreading the fact that we had to have lab partners.
I was one of the first ones getting to class, since Calculus and Physics were on the same floor.
Then, something happened.
Walking into the classroom was a really attractive guy with dark brown hair. He smiled at me and asked if he could sit next to me.
Maybe Physics won't be so bad after all....
