Cygnus' P.O.V

I staid with Zanna and Esmerelda for a month.

"I want to stay longer, babe," I whispered into her ear.

"Why can't you?" She pouted.

"The bitch will get suspicious, love," I answered.

She sighed.

"Fine. Say bye to Elda first."

We got up from the bed and went down to the living room.

"Daddy?"

It was still early and the little girl stood in the hallway, still in her nightgown.

"Come here, sweetheart," he said, kneeling down.

Tearfully, she ran to her Father.

"Don't go," she whispered.

"I have to," I said softly," I love you, honey."

"I love you too... and I'll see you soon?"

"Of course."

"Bye, Daddy."

Then I left and apparated to the Black Manor.

I hesitated long enough outside the door to hear the tell-tale pop of apparation.

"Cyg?" Zana walked up to me," you left this."

She handed me a small leather pouch that contained my money.

"Thanks, love," I said.

"And one more thing..."

She leaned in and kissed me, wrapping her arms around my neck.

"I have to go, babe," I mumbled after a few moments, "and so should you."

"Alright... bye," she replied before apparating.

"Druella!" I shouted as I entered the house," I'm home! Where are you?"

"... here..." said a dangerously soft voice behind me.

Tom's P.O.V

I hadn't heard from her for a while, and I was worried. Had her parents gotten her?
And what about her sister?

As I sat contemplating in my study, an owl flew through the open window and dropped a letter on my desk.

Mr. Riddle, you need to get out of the country. A soonas you can. I cannot reveal much in this letter, but you can come to me in Transylvania. You know where I am.
