Author's Note: I'm so so so so sorry that I haven't upload in forever but it's been pretty hectic lately. I had a French exchange student staying at my house for 3 weeks so I couldn't write that. Now, I'm in college which I started 2 weeks ago. So, I've been kinda busy with homework :/ Anyway, here's Chapter 3 :) I hope you like it! I worked really hard on it so, sorry if it's longer than usual! On the side is a picture of what the boys are wearing at the masquerade ball and they are all wearing plain black masks :) The external link is what the girls are wearing :) Enjoy!

Okay, I'm done rambling on! Enjoy the chapter! :) xx

---------------3 weeks later------------

Oh how I love shopping...not! I'm not a girly girl therefore I don't like shopping but Kay, Nic and Ash wanted to go dress shopping for Wilmore's Annual masquerade ball. Yippee not! It's personally a bore but Kay convinced me to go since it was my last year so that's why I'm shopping. I actually enjoyed it only because I got to spend time with Kay and her friends. Kay, Nic, and Ash have been inseparable since the age of 4; they are more sisters than best friends. Nic and Ash spend almost scratch that all day and every day at my house.

Anyway we found dresses and Kay makes me get a pink one; just so you know I don't like pink. I would have preferred a blue one but Kay had one and she didn't watch to match. Oh jeez! We headed home and of course guess who is home? My parents yep! They came home and their words were exactly "We wanted to see you guys and spend some quality family time" which is ironic because they have missed all the important events in our life that normal parents should see in their kids' lives. Even though they came for my 16th birthday, they missed Kay's.

They didn't send her everything, not even a phone call to say happy birthday. Great parents we have, right? They didn't even notice the shopping bags with the dresses in them for the ball tonight. Yep, they didn't even know the ball is tonight. So, we talked for a while, had dinner, and "bonded" then the girls and I told my parents that we are going to bed. We decided that we were going to sneak out to the ball so I called Peter to come and meet us at the corner. After I hung up, I turned to the girls who had their make-up and hair already done and their dresses and accessories in their bags.

"Okay, whatever happens now and tonight stays between the four of us and Peter. Am I clear?" I said, looking at Nic and Ash then looking at Kay.

She always told Mum everything until they left us. While we were bonding with our parents, she told them everything that had happened since they've been gone. My mum and dad asked me if everything she said was true like they didn't believe her. Who doesn't believe their own kid? Anyway, I looked at Kay again and she nodded. I turned my bedroom light off so my parents would think that we went to bed.

I opened my window and threw my bag out of the window. I started climbing out of the window and eventually reached the bottom and waited for the girls to come out one at a time. Kay threw her bag down to me and climbs out first. Then Nic starts to climb down but as she was halfway down, Kay nudged me and pointed to the living room window, I looked and saw my parents entering the room. I told Kay to duck and I ducked also and looked up at Nic. She was looking at me wondering what was going on.

"Nic, you have to hold on for a second." As I said that, my mum came closer to the window and looked out.

"What do you think I'm doing? Texting Kay while hanging on for my life?" she replied back sarcastically.

"Quit being sarcastic and dramatic, okay they're gone. Keep climbing down now." I said back while standing up.

Nic finally reaches the bottom and grabs her bag. Ash is the last one and she comes down more smoothly than any of us. Kay, Ash and I grab our bags and the four of us start walking down to the corner where Peter is waiting for us. Peter had borrowed his mum's minivan so there was enough room for all and for the girls and me to get change. We all got in and Peter started driving towards where the masquerade ball is being held.
