Two boys, Kevin Keller and Moose Mason, laughed together down by Sweet Water River, blissfully unaware of the danger that they were about to uncover.

"Oh my god...Jason. He's dead!"

By morning, everyone would be taking, texting and posting about it. We'd all be feeling it. The world around us had changed.....maybe even forever. And Riverdale....Riverdale wasn't the same town as before. That it was a town of shadows and secrets now. On Monday, the autopsy on Jason's body would take place....and on Tuesday, half way through fifth period, the first arrest would be made.

Kylie sat in the school lounge, her headphones on and her laptop perched on her knee as she typed away. She was wearing a short black crop top, a pair of black leather pants and her grey beanie.

Brushing back a strand of her golden hair from her face, she let out a deep sigh, flexing her fingers out in front of her. She had been typing for a consecutive hour and her fingers where beginning to throb as she forced herself to keep on typing. Earlier this morning, the news that Jason Blossom's body had been found by Sweet Water River had hit Riverdale hard, it was the whole talk of the school. Although Kylie, she seemed to be the only one uninterested about his death and more interested in the killer. That's right, killer. Jason Blossom had indeed been murdered.

In the early hours of the morning Jason was found, shot, with a bullet wound through his head. Now, conspiracies where flying, accusation drawn and people began to doubt who they could trust anymore. For Riverdale, once a sweet and perky little town, now plagued with murder and violence, something that didn't cross people's minds to be associated with the town. Everyone new eachother there, no one thought that anyone would be capable of murder....or so they though. You never know what's lurking behind the shadows and masks, what people are truly capable of until you see it first hand. For all anyone knew, Jason Blossom's killer could be a family member, a friend or even your next door neighbour, you really couldn't trust anyone anymore. One thing was for sure though, his killer was still out their, waiting.

Waiting for their next victim.

"Betty. Betty, are you okay?" Kylie was jolted out of her thoughts by Betty dashing past her looking upset.

"It's nothing K. It's just Archie. I thought I could deal with it, that what the nice girls suppose to do. But I can't, and I can't pretend it never happened" Betty confessed, her eyes starring to tear up slightly.

Kylie pulled her into a hug. "It's okay Betty. It's okay to struggle sometimes,  it's not healthy to keep your feelings bottled up inside" She explained, worried for her friend.

"I know, I know it's not K. I just...I just need some time, okay?" Betty asked, looking at Kylie with hopeful eyes.

"I get it Betty. Take all the time you need" Kylie assured her, flashing her a reassuring smile.

"Thanks Kyles" Betty gave her a weak smile in return before setting off down the corridor, her arms full with her books.

Kylie walked down the over-crowded corridors of Riverdale High, her brother Jughead by her side. Whispered immediately sprouted as they entered, soon followed by the pointing and glaring.

"Hey, Jug, calm down" Kylie murmured to her brother, feeling him tense up next to her.

"I don't appreciate us being accused Jason's murder" Jughead whisper-yelled back at her,  grinding his teeth in frustration.
