I run up and try to stop the fight. I'm not sure who the other guy is until I try to jump in front of Adrien and I get punched in the face. A normal person would be shocked but I kind of assumed that would happen if I jumped in the middle of a fight.

Even though Adrien kind of hates me right now, I know that he still loves me and that there's still a chance for us because once he realizes what just happened, he lifts his hand to punch the other guy, but I stop him. I step forward, smile in his face, and hit him as hard as I can. His nose is bleeding and it looks broken. "Hope it hurt a-hole." And I walk away. I figure it'd be better to talk to Adrien later because everyone has a lot of adrenaline right now. And if I want anything good to come out of it he'll have to be calm.

---

I wait a little while-until there's about 15 minutes of lunch left-and walk up to Adrien's table. He's sitting alone, probably thinking about earlier.

"Hey. Why were you in a fight with him earlier? Who even was that?" He takes a minute but then he answers.

"I don't know. Just some guy..." He pauses. "He said something bad about you and I yelled at him. He tried to hit me and I stopped him. Then we got in a big fight. Then you showed up. That was cool by the way. What you did."

"Thanks, but you know what's cooler?" He looks confused. "This." I pull out the pictures I took from Callie's phone.

"What is this?"

"Look at the date."

"October 25th." I can see a wave of relief spread across his face. "So, Callie really was lying. And I blamed you for something you didn't even do."

"It's okay, there's no way you could've have known."

"No it's not. I keep messing this up. I don't deserve you."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that we should break up. You'll be better off without me. I promise."

I'm shocked. "Are you kidding me? I couldn't care less what you 'promise'! I want to be with you! I stole someone's phone just to get you back! After all that we've been through you're gonna take the easy way out? No! You do not get to do this to me!" I grab his shirt and kiss him like I've never kissed him before. Hoping that it'll make him realize that he's being a complete idiot. But it doesn't work. As soon as we pull away from each other, he grabs my hands and looks me straight in the eyes. I know he's trying to say goodbye, but I'm not ready to hear that. I shake my head.

"I love you, Gabi. But I can't out you through this anymore." He kisses my cheek and gets up to walk away.

I stand up and start yelling after him, "So you're afraid to hurt me so you break my heart instead? That's the worst thing you could've ever done to me and you know that!"

He just keeps walking. I leave early that day. I don't go to school at all the next day. I don't go the day after that. Now it's the weekend.

---

It's Monday. I don't want it to be Monday, but it's Monday. I get up to get ready and I put on leggings, a hoodie, and pull my hair into a messy bun. I go to leave and then I think, no. Let me show him what he's missing. So I do. I put on a black jean-skirt, fishnet leggings, a crop-top and a leather jacket. Then I put my hair down and use red hair chalk for an ombre at the ends of my hair. I grab my bookbag and head to school.

---

I walk in and everyone's asking me where I got my hair done and where I got my outfit from. I can see Adrien looking at me, but I know he's not going to come over here. I go through the whole day waiting for him to talk to me, but he doesn't.

---

After school I decide to do something crazy. I drive to the hair salon and get my hair cut a little, and permanent red hair dye on the ends of my hair. Then I do some retail therapy and head to Olive Garden. When I get there, I see Matt. I sit down with him and we get to talking.

"Nice hair. That new?"

"Just got it done." I smile and flick my hair.

"Hahaha it looks good. So can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"I want to officially ask Tessa to be my girlfriend. Will she say yes?"

"Oh my God yes! Yes invite her here right now and ask her!"

"Okay..."

I'll get my food to-go so I won't be a third wheel." I wink at him and call the waiter over. Once I get my food, I go home and watch Riverdale while I eat my Olive Garden manicotti and bread sticks. My mom comes home and we watch tv together for a while and then I go to bed.

I fall asleep thinking about what Adrien said on Wednesday. I need to figure out how to convince him that he's not a screw up. That he's makes my life better, not worse. But one moment keeps going through my head: When he walked away without even looking back. He just kept walking. Without even thinking about my feelings, he just walked away.

Yo what up, it's been a run-on couple of chapters but we're getting there lol. It's about to go down for a real one sooo ;) -K
