The Aftermath

When I woke up I was in a bed and room I didn't recognize and I started to panic till I remembered what happened. Looking around the room looked like the one I had stayed in while at the training house but much bigger.

I tried to sit up and immediently groaned and laid back down. My body was so sore I could barely move. Getting out of the bed was next to impossible but I managed. I took a step forward and my legs almost couldn't take my weight. But now that I was up and walking it wasn't as painful anymore. I slowly made my way over to the door. As I was about to open the door it opened and Asia ran into me causing me to groan. It looked like I scared her and she looked shocked to see me up. After her shock of running into me a look of worry crossed her face.

"Isabelle you should be resting you're still not better." she said as she led me back to my bed. As I got in she started to use her healing powers. Within a few seconds the soreness began to leave my body. After a few minutes of this I felt no soreness at all but when I tried to sit up Asia pushed me back down insisting that I rest.

A few hours later

Asia finally let me out of my room though she kept a close eye on me. She wouldn't let anyone besides herself in the room with me while I was resting so I was desperate for human contact. As we walked I ate an apple Asia gave me. Walking through the halls following Asia I looked around and wondered if I was in a hotel cause the building was huge.

We started down a set of stairs and after walking down a few floors we were at the bottom and instead of a hotel lobby like I was expecting it just looked like someone's living room but like three times bigger. Through a doorway to my left I could see a kitchen that any restaurant would be jealous of.

Asia led me through a door to my right and down a hallway to an outdoor porch where everyone was sitting. As soon as they saw me I was surrounded in seconds. I was bear hugged by Xenovia, Koneko hugged me around the waist and picked me up a little, got double hugged by Rias and Akeno, Issei gave me a first bump and patted my shoulder, and Kiba just shook my hand. Alucard stood apart from the group and just nodded at me.

I took a seat and Asia handed me a cup of orange juice and a sandwich on a plate and said "Drink and eat. You've been going on just magic and you need to put something in your system."

I hadn't realized how hungry I was till I saw the food. I took it from her and immediately started eating. Then she left through the door again. It was the best sandwich I had ever had and all to soon it was gone. But before I could say anything Asia came back through the door with a tray piled with sandwiches and a pitcher of orange juice. She put them both down and handed me another sandwich. I started eating it and as soon as I finished it I grabbed another one, and another, and another.

I had gone through maybe four sandwiches and half the pitcher before I felt satisfied. I sat back and saw everyone was staring at me. I look around, "What's up? Something on my face?" I asked while wiping my face.

Issei laughed and said, "No it's just that you downed all that in like two minutes."

I stared at him with my mouth open in shock, "No way. I was hungry but I didn't think I was that hungry." And I took a drink.

Rias then chimed in, "Well it makes sense you've been out for two weeks."

I spit out the mouthful of juice I had, "WAIT WHAT! How have I been out for two weeks?!"

"The energy you expended during your fight was more than you possessed and it fried your body. It looked like you would have died but Asia was able to keep you alive. Your body just needed a recharge."

"So will I not be able to do it again without almost dying?"

"Oh no you will but you'll have to take it slow. The reason you almost died is because you did too much too fast. We just need to slow it down."
