"What do you mean we arent going on patrol tonight?" Damian asked.

"Dick was attacked early this morning and..." Bruce started.

"What?!" Damian exclaimed then ducked his head in embarrassment after he realized his outburst. Adults dont outburst, he thought. Bruce looked over his son and sighed, setting a hand on his shoulder.

"He is downstairs and because of the attack we wont be patrolling until he wakes up and tells us who his attacker was," Bruce explained and led Damian downstairs.

Damian surveyed the Batcave and saw the Flash sitting beside Dick's bed. "Allen?" Damian asked.

Wally turned around at hearing his uncle's name then realized the confusion, "Oh, no, it's me," Wally said to Damian.

"Speaking of," Bruce commented, "Why are you the Flash? Barry failed to inform me of that development and as he was still attending League meetings it came as a slight surprise when I noticed it was you a few days ago."

"You noticed?" Wally asked, feeling self conscious. What if he wasnt as good as his uncle.

"Purely from the fact you did not engage with Captain Cold for an unnecessary length of time after catching him at the bank robbery," Bruce stated. Wally sighed in relief. At least it wasnt because he wasnt a good Flash. It was cause he didnt talk to Cold after the robbery long.

"Arent there more pressing matters?" Damian growled out, interrupting the conversation. Damian's eyes travelled to Dick's motionless body on the bed and his look softened.

"We cant do anything until we wake up," Wally said sadly.

"We can at least look at-" Damian started.

"I've already been to the crime scene," Bruce interrupted.

"But maybe I could provide valuable-" Damian tried again, getting angrier.

"I got all the data already," Bruce interrupted.

Damian stormed from the room, grabbing his mask on his way, "I'm leaving."

"Damain!" Bruce called as Damian stormed off. The sound of the Robin cycle revving up was all they heard before Damian had sped from the cave.

"Got the data already," Damian muttered as he sped through Gotham, headed towards Bludhaven. The sound of running was heard beside him and Damian yelled, "Fuck off West!"

Damian didnt have a chance to glance at who he thought was Wally before the back wheel of his bike was yanked or grabbed, he couldnt really tell. All Damian knew was that he was flying forward and he rolled across the street. He was back on his feet in an instant but it was pointless. Whoever he was fighting had speed and when that fist came flying towards him Damian didnt have the time to block.

As Damian was thrown to the ground once again and his attacker was kicking him, he was debating not pressing his panic button out of spite. As his vision started going black and he felt blood in his throat he changed his mind and pressed his panic button.
