Jack and I camped out in the depths of the forest that night, acting as each other's watchman. Luckily, there was no sign of the cops in the vicinity. There was a rusty Swiss Army knife stabbed into the bark of a nearby tree. I swiftly climbed up to the lowest branch and plucked it from the trunk. The night was crisp as usual. You could here the faint cooing from owls and squirrels frantically scavenging for food. Tall tress supplied the comfort and seclusion needed to dichotomize the separate worlds; The Night and Day. Creatures of the Day would reside on the outskirts of the barrier, while the Night goers acted as independent forces within the realm. When a being from either domain crosses over into the next, anything goes. Execution is always a common pursuit, especially when a Day Walker aimlessly ventures into the night. The two lands could never live as one, the ideals were too abstract. Slenderman and his minions pose as the defenders of the Night, violently taking action and making attacks on the lighter world. They truly had the upper hand in this ongoing war. Some chose to believe in this association of ruthless aggressors; Others denied their existence entirely. The police and firearms squadrons rendered as the day walkers' only source of real protection. The opposing sides were at a constant state of war, each side using their own standards of guerrilla onslaught. Night walkers would perform acts of homicide and other illegal acts to weaken the numbers on the light side. Day walkers occasionally advanced past their barriers, hunting down the less crucial members of the Night. This petty battle could have easily been won by the Night ages ago, but who enjoys a simple strife?
The Night had figuratively already succeeded in victory.
It was all just a menacing game for them, using the Day as it's helpless pawn.
