Chapter 3

Jane's POV
Lunch is after fourth period. So far my classes have been cool. I have at least one friend in each class so that's great. I have sixth period with Montgomery so I am excited about that. Eartha and I have British Literature fourth period so me and her walk to lunch together.
"So are you happy with your classes so far?" I asked

"Yes. I have chemistry with Tony so I am very much happy." Eartha said

"That's great. I hope you and him can make a connection." I said as we walked into the cafeteria and see Rita and Veronica already siting at our regular table. Before I can walk over to them, Montgomery walks over to me and pulls me away.

"Eartha, I got to talk to Jane for a quick minute." He said as he pulls me away.

"Monty what's going on?" I asked.

"Hey. I just thought you should know that there is something wrong with Natalie. She was crying in first period." Montgomery said.

"Did you ask her what's wrong?" I asked with worry in my voice.

"I was about to then the teacher walked in before I could ask." Montgomery said.

"Ok. Thank you for telling me babe." I said. I kiss him on the cheek and tell him I'll see him during sixth period. I walk over to our table to see the all of the girls siting at the table. I sit down next to Natalie who is looking down at her food, not engaging into the conversation that Eartha, Rita and Veronica are having.

"Hey Natalie. Are you ok?" I asked

"Yes." Natalie said, still looking down at her food.

"Are you sure? Because you are still looking at your food and Montgomery told me that you were crying in first period. " I said

"Yeah Nat your not acting like yourself." Rita said.

"Are you sure you are ok?" Veronica said.

"Hey girls. I need to talk to Natalie for a minute. I hope you don't mind." Robert says as he grabs Natalie's hand and gets her up from the table.

I have the feeling that Robert has something to do with this.

Montgomery's POV
I walk over to the guys who are already at our usual table. I finally got to tell them about me and Jane.

"Hey Monty." Fred said

"Hey guys. I need to tell you something." I said

"That you are dating Jane Russell." Tony said

"How did you know?" I asked

"We saw you and her talking in the corner over there and she kissed you on the cheek." James said.

"Look at you being all lovely dovey with Jane!" Fred said.

"Aye I am proud of you man." Alan said.

"Woah I didn't think you guys would care that much." I said.

"Yes we do care. It's Jane Russell that you are dating now." James said.

Natalie's POV
Robert actually had the nerve to pull me away from my friends to talk to me about this morning. As if I want to talk to him.

"Nat. I am so sorry about this morning." Robert said.

"I don't want to hear it." I said turning away from him.
