Chapter 6

Veronica's POV

It's the next day and both Rita and I just arrived at school.

"I really hope that Lana passed that note along." I said with worry in my voice.

"Ron, don't worry about it. I'm pretty sure she did." Rita said reassuring me.

" I just hope that something is done about Robert." I said. 

" Veronica, it's all going to be taken care of. Principle Barrymore will handle the situation." Rita said with assurance in her voice. 

"OK." I said as I see a huge crowd gather and I hear people yelling. Jane walks up to us and looks over at the crowd. "What's going on over there?" Jane asked

" I have no clue." I said as we see teachers run to the scene. "It's probably a fight you guys." Eartha said walking up to us while looking at all the commotion. 

"People are fighting in the first week of school already?'' I asked

"I guess so." Rita said was we all look to see James Dean being pulled away from the crowd in one direction and Robert Wager getting pulled in the other direction. 

"Oh no..." I said looking in shock. We then see RJ with a bloody nose and blood running down his face trying to pull away from the teachers and yelling at them. 

"Well, it looks like James gave RJ what was finally coming to him." Jane said while looking surprised as we see James walking towards the principles office with a huge smile on his face. James Dean had to find out about Robert hitting Natalie. I wonder how he found out, did Natalie tell him what happened, I wonder. 

"Well, what a great way to start the school day." Eartha said with humor. 

"It's clear why the fight happened, but how did James find out?" Rita asked. 

"I wonder the exact same thing." I said as the bell rings for us to go to class.' And where the hell is Natalie at?' I ask myself as I walk to class with Rita and Jane. 

Natalie's POV

I showed up to school late. I woke up late and just had a bad start to my day. I walk into my first period and I had everyone starring at me. Ms. Davis turned to me and gave me a stern look. 

"Well, I'm glad that you could join us this morning Miss. Wood. You seem to be the number one subject this morning anyway." Ms. Davis said to me without looking from her paperwork.

 I'm confused and I look towards Montgomery, who gives me a sympathetic look. "What are you talking about Ms. Davis?" I asked in a confused tone.

 "Well, your boyfriend go into a fight this morning with another student and it had something to do with you." Ms. Davis looks up at me, answering my question.

 Before I can say anything else, Principle Barrymore gets on the intercom and tells me to go to the office. 

"Well, you better get to the office Ms. Wood." Ms. Davis said as she quicky hands me a pass. I leave and start to make my way to the office, having no clue what's going on.  

James' POV

"So Mr. Dean, would you to fill me in on what happened this morning?"  Principle Barrymore asked in a demanded voice. 

"Yeah, I kicked Wager's ass today." I said with a proud look on my face. 

"Ok, I get that. But will you fill me in on why you did?" Barrymore said with annoying in his voice. 

"Yeah, I found this note in my locker this morning." I pulled the note from my pocket and hand it to the man. "Don't have a clue who put it in there but it was there. It was address to you." I said. 

Barrymore reads the note and looks back at me. "Do you think this is true?" He asked me.

"Of course I do! What kind of question is that! If I didn't, do you really think that I would have fought Wager." I answer him looking at him stupid. 

"Ok, but I need to know 100% if this is true. As for you Mr. Dean, school just started and I don't want to have to give you a long suspension, So I think two days will do." Barrymore said. 

"Why should I be suspended? I didn't do anything wrong! I'm not the one who hits women." I said defending myself. 

"Mr. Dean, you out all people should know that I have a huge no tolerance policy on fighting. It doesn't matter what the situation is or who did what. There is to be no fighting on my campus." Barrymore said in a stern voice.   

"Fine, I'll take the two days." I said rolling my eyes as I get up to leave.

"And where do you think your going Dean? I'm not done yet, I need to call Ms. Wood in here so we can have a discussion. I also need to call your parents." Barrymore says as he picks up the intercom and calls Nataile to the office. Things are going to get interesting.
