"Am-am I dead?" she asked.

"Yeah you are. how could you kill yourself?" I asked.

"I had to see you."

"I missed you." I sobbed.

"Julie!" Jake shouted. oh no, he's looking for me.

"What is it?" My mom asked.

"Hold on." I said walking to the crystal clear lake separating the forest and meadow.

I put my finger in the water and made a small circle in the water creating a blurred image, then it was clear. Jake was in my apartment. a tear rolled down my cheek as I got up and faced my mom.

"I have to go." I looked down at the lake where the image was."back to earth."

"I'm confused Tiffany." she answered.

"I'm a guardian angel. " I explained.

I grabbed my locket and closed my eyes.

"Back to Earth, back to Earth." I lightly repeated and I felt as I was engulfed in water, drowning out the sound. the next thing I knew I was dropped in my room, on my knees. I opened my eyes and saw Jake look to me and the file on my bed. papers were scattered and he was reading one of them. it took me a few seconds to process and then finally my voice was back.

"Jake it's not what it looks like." I spilled out.

"Your a stalker. are you planning on kidnapping me?" he asked.

"Why would I do that?" I asked.

"You tell me. and explain to me why these papers have every single detail of my life. and also how you appeared out of the air." he snapped.

"I-I can't. I truly wish I could but I can't." I cried, mainly because I'm still stung by my mom killing herself.

"What's stopping you?" he asked me. The anger was clear in his eyes but there was also sadness.

"There are things bigger than you at play, i'm afraid that's all I can tell you." I answered.

"We're through being friends." he said after a long silence.

"Jake-" I was cut off by him slamming my door.

"Carson?" I asked mid air and then Carson appeared.

"What is it now?" he asked.

"He saw the file, he thinks i'm a stalker." I explained."what do I do to make it right?"

"Your a clever girl, you'll find a way." he said and disappeared.

I cleaned up the papers and put them in my desk and then a knock came to the door. I walked to the door and opened it revealing Jake.

"Jake?" I asked surprised.

"You have some visitors." he said and moved off my door step and then two police officers came and cuffed me up.

"Julie Ricks you are under arrest for stalking Jake Hensley. You have the right to remain silence, anything you say or do can and will be used against you in the court of law." the officer said.

(Authors note: I don't know if that's how it goes so that'll be good.)

"Jake don't do this, I have to protect you." I said fighting against the cops.

"Shut up." he said after slapping me.

I stayed quiet and stopped fighting the cops as they put me in the car. my cheek still stung from his slap as they drove me away.

They had me change into an orange jumpsuit and I sat in a cell with nothing to do. on my right was a small bed and that was basically all there was.

"Lunch time." someone said over an intercom. a buzzer went off and my cell door opened. I walked down the hall and found myself in a big room. hundreds of kids in jump suits sat at tables.

I walked to the lunch line. at least they have trays. I grabbed one and grabbed a bowl to put it on my tray like everyone else. Then a lady in a hair net plopped a weird looking white substance.

"You new?" some one asked from my left.

"What makes you ask that?" I asked taking in their appearance. He had chocolate brown hair and piercing green eyes.

"Because only the new people accept that guck." he gestured towards the substance.

"What is it?" I asked grabbing a thing of nachos.

"They say it's mashed potatoes, I say it's straight from the dumpster." he said taking the bowl and throwing it away.

"I'm Damian." he said holding out his hand.

"Julie." I said taking his hand.

"You don't look like a Julie." he still had my hand so he spun me around so my back was against his front and he kept my tray from falling. "you look more like...... a Tiffany." he whispered.

He spun me out and I gave him an awkward smile.

"Well let's go eat." he said dragging me to a table on the other side of the table. I met about a hundred eyes and sat down with Damian.

"That's Carla," he pointed to a girl with jet black hair that was shoulder length and had crystal blue eyes and she lightly smiled and waved at me," Stefan," a guy with shaggy blonde hair and electrifying green eyes was in sight, he gave me a pearly white smile and my gaze followed where Damian was pointing, "and that's-"

I recognized her immediately, she went to my current high school, Pierce chance high school.

"Trinity." I said interrupting Damian.

"You two know each other?" he asked.

"Yeah we had math together at school." I said.

I never remembered her golden blond hair that went to her mid back or her chocolate brown eyes.

After talking with everyone I found out Trinity and could be great friends, we have similar interests. the next few days were the same. talking to my cell mate, who just happened to be Carla. we also got to know each other. she's 16 like me. I just consider myself 16. I also hung out with Damian and the rest of the gang at breakfast, lunch and dinner. until one day I met the same officer that arrested me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Some ones bailing you out." he said and brought me to a desk. "here he is."

And then Carson came into view.

"Ready?" he asked me after I changed into a mini denim skirt and a red laced shirt that said "love" on it. I also wore combat boots and my hair was in a side braid.

"Yeah, but one question why did you bail me out now?" I asked considering I've been here for almost 2 weeks.

"Jake was kidnapped. you need to find him and save him." Carson informed me.

After he took me home, he disappeared and as I walked in I could feel glares from the Hensley family. I changed into my outfit from my training and then I got a call.

"Hello?" I asked.

"I know about you, Tiffany." a husky voice greeted. in the background I could hear Jake struggle.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"You."
