Zia Knight POV
The boys and I have just returned from the mall. We purchased so much stuffs from the past two hours. They have picked a lot of stuffs to decorate their room including, bedsheets, posters, floor mat, some toys, light-up wall stickers and alphabet wall stickers that spell out their first name. They also got some new towels with their favorite hero character from the Avengers which Lucas have chosen 'Captain America' and 'Hulk' and Derek with 'Spider man' and 'Iron Man'. They were so excited with their towels that they convinced me to get them two sets of pyjamas with the Avengers theme as well. Yeah they used their puppy eyes so i can't say no to that.
As soon we arrived I told the boys to wash their hands while they do that I took two glass and fill it with chilled orange juice for them to drink. "Okay boys, here, drink this"
Once the boys are done I told them that we should decorate the room now. I thought that they would be too tired to do it but they instead they begin to jump out of their seat and start pulling me by the hand. I laugh at their eagerness for decorating the room.
The boys were so excited and after only hour we finished decorating the room including all the wall stickers, toys and floor mat. I was happy with how it look. The boys have used one of the Avenger's bedsheet they got to cover the couch in the room and push it against the walls under some of their wall decoration. The boys think it's still not enough so they promise to bring some of their toys from home to here for their next sleepover.
I took the boys downstairs to begin our pizza cooking session. I told them to wash their hands before they begin while I silently unfold the apron that I just had to get for them when my eyes landed on them.
"SURPRISE!" I yell out as soon they finish drying their hands.
"ARGHHH" shriek out of excitement and begin to gush out over their aprons and immediately putting them on with each other's help.
"Alright boys we better start our first ever cooking lesson! Our dinner for the night is homemade pizza! I have prepared the dough and the toppings. All we need to do is take out one of these balls of dough and flattened them then use the rolling pin to make a wider circle." I continue my demonstration to them slowly so they can understand. The two of them were excited to begin as soon as I say go.
We were having a blast with saucing and placing toppings to our pizza. The three of us are already hungry which was why we keep on munching on some of our toppings. The boys were overly excited that we ended up making six in pizzas in total. Oh well the more the merrier.
"Okay, we're almost done. So I'm just going to pre-heat the oven and once the beep sound is out we will put all six of our pizzas since I have three oven in my kitchen" I jumped up and down and do my happy dance in front of the boys who started to laugh at me but join me in the end.
Once the oven beeped to signal that it's ready to use, I helped the boys in putting the pizzas into the oven in turns. I warned them to keep the distance because it's hot and it can burn. I showed them one of my old burn scar that I had when I was in culinary school. They cringed at the sight but adorably begin to blow on my old scar. Shoot me with your adorableness why don't you!
"Alright we will have to keep them in there for 18 minutes while we wait you two can take a shower and I will prepare our snacks and drinks for our movies, sounds good?"
"YES!" the boys yell out and quickly sprint to their en suite. I have placed their change of clothes and the new clothes we bought today into the closet as well. The towels, their toiletries, toothbrush and everything else are all there for them to use. I can hear their giggles and laughter all the way from here. Ah, it's nice to have a good company over the weekend!
After 15-minutes I hear the boys voice louder than before telling me that they're no longer in the bathroom. I have finished up setting up the fort in the living room near the tv. It was getting late and I thought I can do this on my own. It was a simple fort using my bedsheets and blankets and heaps of pillows. I added some touch with the fairy lights and stickers that we purchased earlier today. I have just finished taking out the snacks, drinks and the pizza out of the oven onto the bench. I will be getting the boys to help me carrying them into the living room. I got to teach the boys the ideas of running errands, helping out and being independent after all.
"We're here and we're hungry Zizi" said Derek. Lucas nodded his head with a pouty lips.
"Good timing the food are all here and our fort has been set up too. I just need your help in carrying one pizza at a time and I will carry the rest of the snacks and drinks. Let's move fast! chop-chop so we can eat and watch our movies!"
The boys carefully place the pizzas on the table in front of our fort. All of the foods and drinks are now there and the movie we're watching right now is Iron man 1. We've started eating the pizza and we love it! the boys compliment each others' pizzas until the pizzas are actually all gone as we watch. I now look at the clock on my wall and find it says '11 p.m'. I look at the boys and found Lucas are already asleep in the fort under the blanket. I didn't even see him moving and tucking himself in. I look at Derek and found him fighting his sleepiness.
"Hey teddy-bear, we should go sleep now." I whisper softly to him. He nodded his head but took my hand in his.
"You want me to tuck you in?" he nodded then shook his head. Ok, now, I'm confused.
"Stay please, sleep here" I smiled at him before I kiss his forehead.
"Let me turn off the movie first okay" as soon he nodded his head and let go of my hand I went to look for the remote. I switch the tv settings and connect it to my laptop. In my laptop I have recording of my piano play that I found soothing and helpful to put me to sleep. So I play the list and set the volume to low. I turned off the lights and only letting the wall stickers small fairy lights to light up the room.
I kiss Lucas and Derek's forehead one more time before I lay myself down next to Derek. I pat his tummy softly to help him sleep better like what my dad used to do for me. I felt my eyes gotten heavier by the seconds and slowly I surrender myself fully to sleep.
