A few days later we all sit around the table for lunch. Sara trying to get everything finished before she goes off to work. Billy and Mary playfully attacking each other at the table. Sara cautions, "hey, hey. Watch the milk... Billy."

With that the two stop and Billy grabs the 'all seeing eye'. Sara continues, "I'm serious."

Billy then asks the eye a question, "is Mary a total goon?" He turns it over. "Oh yeah!"

Mary then grabs the eye from Billy, asking it her own question, "is Billy a poophead?" I snicker at the question. "But of course, my dear."

Sara comes to the table with Billy and Mary's sandwiches. "Here. Eat, eat, eat. C'mon stop." Sara walks back to the counter, squeezing Matt's shoulder lightly. He winces from the pain. "I got to go to work, okay. Wendy is in charge this time, okay."

She grabs Matt's shoulders again, he flinches. "Ow, ow."

"I'm sorry honey," she apologizes profusely.

I grab Matt's hand, giving it a squeeze. He returns the gesture, smiling at me. Once his mom is out of the kitchen, he addresses the kids in a serious tone, "be good or else you guys have to deal with me." He looks at them sternly before breaking into a smile and placing a hand on Billy's arm. "I'm just kidding."

I roll my eyes as I address Matt, "you are so cruel sometimes." I laugh at him as we all finish up our lunch.

I walk downstairs to our room as I hear Matt counting upstairs - Billy and Mary had asked if we can play hide and seek with them and Wendy said she was going to sit outside and read her book.

I slowly open the door to the next room, peering in cautiously. As I walk in the door slams shut giving me a fright. I walk back to the door, but it doesn't want to open. I step backwards as I look to see what could have made it close so suddenly, but I don't see anything.

I then turn around, coming face to face with another one of the ghastly ghostly figures. This one being the worst I have ever seen; it has no eyes; it's just an empty abyss and the coldness emanating from his skin makes mine crawl with goosebumps. He grabs a hold of my upper arm, his grip tightening to the extent that I can't feel my fingers anymore. His grip paralyzing me to the core.

He leans in towards me and whispers, his cold breath on my ear, "two... dead... boys..."

I feel a jolt in my wrist causing me to rip my arm from his grip. My vision clears and I see Matt standing in front of me. I look around noticing dead bodies around us lying on the tables, their skin wrought tight like leather on their bones and writing sprawled on every inch of skin.

I whisper fearfully, "Matt. The bodies."

He grabs my face with both hands, I can see in his eyes that he is scared as well. "Just focus on me okay." He pulls me into an embrace, placing my head on his chest he shouts, "Wendy!" His voice resonating in my ears.

I look up to see that Matt and I are now surrounded by bodies; they are standing just inches away from us. Staring at us with their ghostly eyes. His grip tightens around me as he speaks, "just don't look okay."

I close my eyes again as I press my face into his chest. He shouts out again, "Wendy! Help, Wendy!"

The bodies still surrounding us, saying nothing but watching us. I feel Matt's body trembling as he holds me tighter. His heartbeat quickening. I hear him whisper, "oh for God sakes." He takes a deep breath as he yells out shoving one of the bodies away, "just leave us alone!"

He lets go of me and I look around to see that the bodies have disappeared, and Matt had actually pushed Billy away.

Wendy speaks as she holds Mary closer, her voice barely audible, "it's okay. It's okay." They start walking towards the door. "C'mon guys let's go... Billy c'mon."
