When me and Taeyong returned to the table everyone was looking at us. I felt so conspicuous as I sat back down. I barely even noticed Lily sat down next to Taeil in front of me.

"Lily?...Where were you?"

"Waiting for you," she eyed me and Taeyong suspiciously as we both awkwardly shifted further away from eachother, me almost sitting in Mark's lap.

"Lily this is Taeyong, my erm friend, I don't think you've met."

"No we haven't," Lily said eyeing the really attractive boy in front of her, I frowned at her.

Taeyong nodded politely as he sat obviously uncomfortable with the social interaction.

"Eunji, can you move over slightly," Mark whispered to me as a realised with shock how close I was.

"Oh my god, sorry Mark." I was so embarrassed after all I'd only had short conversations with him and now I'd scared him off.

I scooted away, putting enough distance between Mark and Taeyong on either side of me.

"Eunji, Mark, what were you guys whispering about huh?" Jaehyun gave us a smug look. Taeyong looked over at the both of us.

"Eunji you're not gonna steal Mark from me are you? Besides Mr Lee says you're not allowed t-" Jaehyun slapped his hand over Haechan's mouth as everyone worriedly looked at me.

"Mr Lee?? As in Eunjin's Dad??" Lily asked everyone sat at the table. I sat dumbfounded at a loss for words, I certainly didn't want to get Lily or Ten involved in my mess.

"Haechan was talking about Mark's Dad." Jaehyun saved the day and laughed after passive aggressively ruffling Haechan's brunette hair.

Ten looked at me with suspicion, I looked away, he knew me too well for me to hide anything from him.

"Ok...well I'm going to the bathroom, I'll catch you later Eunji, and bye Taeyong," Lily said as she got up and walked out, hips swaying. Thank god. I was embarrassed for her, I mean she obviously was into Taeyong but he clearly wasn't interested in anyone.

"Me and Ten are going to go to English, bye," Johnny strategically dragged a flapping Ten out with him, leaving me alone with 8/9 NCT members.

"What has my father not allowed now?" Eunji grumpily stared at the nervous boys around her.

"Tell me now."

"Look we don't want to cause trouble, please Eunji, don't ask us." Taeil pleaded with me.

I looked at the desperate boy in front of me and crumbled. I felt bad for making them tell me things when I knew full well that they worked for my father, not me.

What would he do if he found out that they were telling me things? My guilt overcame my curiosity.

"Ok."

Everyone looked at me with shock. WinWin got up abruptly.

"Come on, let's go to next lesson."

Me and WinWin exited with Yuta trailing behind us.

I was still curious, of course. I would have to find out sooner or later but I hoped they'd tell me in their own time. I hoped they'd trust me.

I walked out of school at the end of the day and waited for an NCT member to walk me home, I was being cooperative now I knew my life was in danger. I mean how did I not connect the dots? I sighed and face palmed at my own stupidity.

I looked up when I noticed I wasn't alone.

"Eunji, your father wants to see you," Taeyong didn't meet my eyes as he said it.

"Why?"

"I can't say, I'm sorry."

"Ok, let's go."

Of course I didn't want to go, but maybe I would get answers. Plus I definitely didn't want anyone to get hurt, like last time. I looked at Taeyong's face, a little scar marking the place where my father hit him. Guilt washed over me. I realised my father must have been wearing a ring or something to cause that kind of damage. I wanted to cry.

"It's a short ride away," Taeyong said as he opened the car door for me. Before the engine started two more people got in the back, Yuta and Taeil.

TEN: Hey, you ok?

Eunji: Yeah, you?

I hated lying but I believed it was for his own good. I pushed my phone into my pocket and stared at the road in front of us. I shivered under my thin jacket as the sky darkened. Taeyong's hand went to turn the heating up.

"Thanks," I whispered, barely audible, too tired to speak louder.

"You're welcome."

Yuta and Taeil remained oblivious in the back. The city began to disappear from in front of me as I leaned on the window, tired from the day.
