It was time for club activities on the first day of school at Karasuno. The second and third years were walking to the gyms after changing into their training clothes to meet the first years that wanted to become members of the different sports clubs.

During the whole day whispers had been going around the school. A rumor about an, apparently already famous, girl joining the school as a first year. This was the topic all the upperclassmen were talking about.

In the gym the male volleyball club were using there were various sounds that could be heard. Balls slamming into the ground, shouts of boys and even some girls, balls meeting hands. (even I was thinking something wrong at that)

"You guys hear the girls voices, too, right?" One of the third years asked his teammates who nodded. You think were getting another manager or are they gonna be scared off? At this all of them laughed.

It wouldnt be the first time the relatively large group of boys had scared off a girl wanting to become the manager of a sports team at their school. To them it was better than having to participate elsewhere. But after meeting the male members most would withdraw their application for the club. Be it because of how the boys acted or looked or any other reason theyd find.

Now, when they entered the gym, there were some girls but mostly boys. All except one of the girls were wearing their uniforms. The last one had long, black hair, violet eyes and was wearing gym clothes like but not the Karasuno gym clothes.

A black and white shirt, red and black pants and white shoes all with a small Japanese flag on them. It seemed like she was wearing training clothes a national player could be wearing. She was holding a volleyball and was playing with a small boy that was looking a little bit like a middle school student.

The second and third years came to the realization that this one particular girl was familiar to them, but they couldnt seem to remember who she was.

Instead of continuing asking themselves how they knew her, they interrupted the bit of training the six first years did as well as the conversations between the rest of the girls.

"Hello. Welcome to Karasunos Volleyball club. I am your captain for this year. Now, how about you introduce yourselves and say what position you play and what school you guys came from."

After their seniors did the same for theirselfes the possible new members complied. The girls applying for a manager position started, each explaining how they wanted to become managers some saying different reasons but most saying the same, somehow.

After this the players stated names, positions and middle schools they came from.

"Ennoshita, Chikara. Wing spiker." (I dunno where he came from)

"Narita, Kazuhiko. Middle blocker." (him neither)

"Kinoshita, Hisashi. Wing spiker." (nope)

"Tanaka, Ryuunusuke. Wing spiker. From Oujitsu Junior High."

"Nishinoya, Yuu. Libero. From Chidoriyama Junior High."

Now it was the girls turn to introduce herself:

"Kageyama, Sakura. Every position. From Kitagawa Daichii and on the male U19 Junior national team of Japan. Before you ask, I cant join the female team because I was deemed too strong or whatever, but I am allowed to play in male teams. And, yes, even during tournaments and whatever else."

This stunned everyone else inside the gym until Coach Ukai entered the gym. "Why are you just standing around like this? At least warm up already. Those who are done can put up the net for a 3-on-3 game for the first years."
