Explaining this had taken a whole while and now it was clear to Sugawara that their current situation was much more critical than he had hoped.
Chapter 8
Iwaizumi sighed, "I guess theres nothing we can do about that right now. We'll have to wait for tomorrow, and I'll talk to Oikawa then..."
He moved his hand through his almost black hair and looked from where Oikawa and Sakura had disappeared to, to Sugawara who was looking conflicted.
"For now, lets go to bed. We're gonna need the sleep for tomorrow. I'm sure those two will want to do something as a newfound family..."
Instead of saying something to Iwaizumi about that, Sugawara just nodded and motioned for him to follow the gray-headed setter. "You can sleep in the guest room; I'll take the couch. I'm sure Oikawa is with Sakura."
Iwaizumi tried to protest but stopped after Sugawara told him not to worry. Even more so when they realized there were two single beds in the guest room, that could easily be put together as a double bed.
So, in the end the took one of the beds each and went to sleep.
Soon after, it became completely quiet in the house.
At least until Isamu woke them up, being hungry and wanting to be fed.
As Sakuras room was directly next to his crib both her and Oikawa woke up with a start. Sakura went to Isamu immediately with Oikawa following behind her.
"I'll take Isamu downstairs; you can go down and prepare his bottle already. Don't worry." Oikawa got Sakura to relax and follow with what he said.
As soon as the brunette held his son, the little one calmed down and only sniffled when he saw his father in front of him.
It was as if both were acting on instinct though only having met hours ago. Oikawas presence was calming the boy to a certain degree where only his mommy could do more.
As they stood in the kitchen Oikawa went to hold Isamu with one arm and put the other around Sakura to pull her closer while she was working on warming up milk for her son.
"Sakura-Chan..." Oikawa started to which she hummed. "I can't forget about you." She only sighed as an answer. "If you and Sugawara were to not work out please give me another chance..."
Sakura sighed yet again. "Tooru... If that were to happen, I'd give it a thought, okay?!"
Now it was his turn to sigh. Tooru knew he had no chance as long as Sugawara was in the picture. But at the same time, he had the feeling they wouldn't last too long.
After getting Isamu back to sleep they did too, laying in Sakuras bed to cuddle. Sakuras head laying on Oikawas chest, his arms around her waist, holding onto her tightly as if feeling like hed lose her even more if he didn't.
The next morning Sugawara was the first to wake up. As he walked into the kitchen, he wondered why there was one of Isamus bottles with a little milk inside on the counter.
It didn't come to him, that he could've woken up during the night and instead he just shook his head to free himself of the thoughts he was having.
To divert his own attention Sugawara decided to get started on making breakfast for the five of them as Sakura would warm up some baby-food for Isamu herself later.
When Tobio came down, still seemingly half asleep, he was yawning before going to ask why his sisters boyfriend was making so much food if there were only the three of them.
But before he could ask, Iwaizumi came downstairs with a bedhead. "Good morning." He greeted, his voice raspy from just waking up, making both males in the kitchen blush slightly.
