Chapter 5

|around two months later|

12th May, Friday

"Koushi-senpai..." Sakura and Sugawara were at his place, cuddling on pillows in the Sugawaras living room. He hummed when he felt her clenching his shirt in her hands. During the last weeks they had been mostly spending their time outside of practice at his house.

Koushis parents knew of her situation and even supported their son's decision of acting as the baby's father. When they came to know what had happened to the girl they were appalled of the thought of a boy acting like that towards a girl.

The situation was lucky for the couple. The first preliminaries were a few weeks after the due date of the child and their doctor had assured them she would be able to play by then. And the due date was still almost two weeks away.

"Whats wrong?" It was only then that the boy noticed the wet spot on the pillow the girl was sitting on. "Is he coming?" If it weren't for his parents being in the next room, he would be panicking at the moment Sakura nodded.

"Mama, Papa! He's coming!" He yelled to the room his parents were in. Only moments later his mother came over and helped Sakura up, together with Koushi himself. His father was getting the bag his son's girlfriend had brought with her just in case something happened.

They helped her to the car and drove to the nearest hospital. On the way there Koushi sent a message to the team's group chat telling them they were on the way to the hospital and telling them where it was. All the while consoling his beloved.

13th May, Saturday, 11am

"Congratulations, this is your little boy." One of the nurses was bringing over a little bundle of blue fabric. Inside was a baby boy that had already stopped crying and was already looking around the room with curious eyes.

When Sakura came to hold the little boy, her eyes began sparkling. Not only from happiness but also from tears. Koushi sat beside her on the bed she was on and side-hugged her lightly. "He looks like you, except for his eyes..."

After around half an hour the team was let inside the room. When they came in little Isamu was ogling his mother and father with large eyes. "So, this is the little guy we were waiting for, huh?" All of the guys were smiling when they saw the small boy doing the same.

Nishinoya slowly went up to the bed and looked at his new little brother. Well, not really, but he was hoping their relationship would one day be like that. "Woah! He's so cute..." Little Isamu looked at the libero, unmoving for a moment before smiling.

Things went on like this for a while before the infant became hungry and sleepy, making the team back out of the room to leave them some space.

|4 weeks after|

When Sakura had come home to her little – overprotective – brother it was a little difficult to explain why she had a child with her. Even more so when he noticed that there already was a nursery for the small guy.

But she somehow did make up some explanation for Tobio that he believed. It wasnt very smart, but he bought it.

Now it was time for preliminaries and the whole team was ready for it. Most of the regulars were third years, except for Sakura and Asahi. The two giants of the Karasuno VBC were in as regulars for the games.

The only thing able to distract her would be her little son who was under the care of her and Koushi's parents in the stands. When the games started most were won because of most of the team members relying on the first and second years.
