"WELL, THIS IS UNEXPECTED" ERIS MUTTERED AS ELIJAH & ARABELLA STEPPED INTO THE COMPOUND'S COURTYARD, SEEING HIM IMMEDIATELY. Elijah huffed with a distasteful tone whilst Arabella only stared at him with a analytic stare. The recent feeling of holding her breath had only increased as she recognized another set of familiar faces.
Beside the blatantly cocky warlock had stood Veronica & Raymond, visibly shocked. "Hey." Raymond's voice was unsteady, not sure. Veronica only stared incredulously, not even believing she was there in the flesh.
"...Hello, Raymond." Her voice was void and obviously already tired of the present conversation. She had only stared back at the slack-jawed audience.
"Such great timing! We were just about to begin getting dinner ready" Eris cheered, trying to get rid of the heavy tension.
"None of this even eat besides you and Raymond" she flatly pointed out.
"It's blood infused, darling. Now, shall we get to eating?" he questioned with a purposeful smirk. Arabella only sighed at his response before quickly speeding up the stairs to escape the interaction she was sure she wanted to avoid.
The vampires and one werewolf groaned. "We're really getting nowhere, aren't we?"
"No shit, Vic." Raymond rubbed his temples in frustration. They were most definitely not getting anywhere with the witch. For the past month, she'd only keep to herself or practically only Freya, which was still rare. Hearing her talk or accompany any of them would had been a damned miracle.
"What else can we even do? We've been giving her space and not forcing anything on her. It's not working!" she yelled in annoyance. She really did want to help the girl she once called a sister, of sorts.
"This isn't something she can just recover from in a month or less, Veronica" Elijah piped in. "None of us even know what she really went through besides that scoundrel and he's the one responsible for it."
"Can't we just kill him? He sure as hell deserves it." Raymond of all people would had done the deed, gladly.
"For some reason, Arabella has requested we don't. As to why, I could never fathom the reasoning."
Whenever the topic of his fate was discussed, Arabella had denied them a chance of killing him, even if it was subtle. Even Eris had been confused as to why she'd want to keep him alive after all he's done and more.
"Maybe he did make her insane in there—"
"She is not insane, you idiotic wolf" the youngest Mikaelson spoke up, upon his sudden entrance behind them. His ever so irritated look had plagued his face as he glanced over the lot of them. "I hate to admit Elijah is right but he is. She just needs time."
"What if time doesn't work? Fast forward, I dunno, a year. What if she's just emotionless and fucking lonely as ever? What then?"
"Then we try something else!" Veronica yelled back.
"What else is there to do? We cannot force her."
"How about you contribute some actual ideas for once, you little noble shit?"
"Ray, just shut the hell up—"
"How about you all bloody stop?!" Kol roared out, his voice deep with anger. "You three yelling at each other is not helping at all! We're helping no matter what. Time, hospitality, I don't care. We aren't gonna force anything!"
Out of them all, Kol had the most frustration and anger amidst the situation in itself. He had barely talked to the Adira witch. His beloved witch. It had hurt him to not have such a chance to even talk to her. All he could do was understand, that's all he could do.
"Let's just get through his dinner from hell."
With a groan, the four of them slowly retreated to their own areas, wary of the dinner to come.
