Nico's POV

The knife in my hand fell to the ground as drops of crimson red fell from my bare arms to the grassy floor.

"I'm sorry," I murmured as I back away from a crowd of shocked and fuming demigods, "I'm sorry."

Most eyes were on me, burning holes into my form. Others were flickering from the body on the ground to the faces of their shocked peers and then back to me.

The hair of the body on the ground reflected the glare of the sun into my eyes, seemingly taunting me.

Percy walked forward with the coldest glare he could muster.

I felt my knees grow weak as his form towered over mine, I felt my heart rate spiked and my hands began to shake.

"You monster!" He shouted with a sneer turning his nose up at me, "We should have known you would have turned on us eventually."

Annabeth stepped up to his side her murky stormy grey eyes fuming with anger and disappointment.

"It's only logical. You are the son of the lord of the Underworld," She mocked in a matter-of-factly manner.

It was with her words did the insults start pouring over me. Names were being thrown at me left, right and centre.

Campers who didn't know me. Campers who I did know. Shouting abuse and threats from the sidelines.

Six of The Seven started to encircle me. pushing me to the ground with evil intent clear on their faces. Even Hazel, my own sister, was a part of the group.

I couldn't bare to face them I tried to curl up into myself and mumble apologies as they continued to prod and poke at me. As if they were trying to provoke me into snapping.

"It wasn't me," I tried to cry but it was muffled by their taunting and cruel laughter, "I don't know what happened, Please-"

"Just admit it, Nico," Cooed Piper activating her charm speak, "You wanted him gone..."

"No, no, no, no," I whispered to myself progressively getting louder trying to drown out the people around me.

The beating of horse hooves against the Earth caused everyone to freeze in their tracks.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Questioned a bewildered Chiron as his eyes drifted from the body on the ground to the Six surrounding me.

His eyes widened in shock and horror.

No one spoke... No one moved... All was still until a girl from the Hermes cabin with platinum blonde hair exclaimed loudly,

"Nico murdered someone! Murderer!"

Chiron's head snapped towards me, his eyes full of overwhelming sorrow and pity but not any hint of judgement.

"He doesn't deserve to live!" yelled an Ares camper.

"We can't kill him. We mustn't stoop down to his level!" exclaimed a daughter of Aphrodite.

The yelling continued and made it impossible for Chiron to get a word in and put an end to this madness.

"What if we banished him?"

I knew from the voice who the culprit of such an ungodly idea was.

Hazel...

Everyone turned to stare at her as she puffed out he chest in pride as if she just won an award. Slowly the other campers started to shout in agreement with her idea. All the while Chiron stood there shocked and concerned.
