My alarm blared at four in the morning. I had to drag myself out of bed, over Matt and go into the bathroom to use it. Then went to get dressed. When I looked at the bed, both spots were empty. I went to the laundry room for my tennis shoes. "In here baby." Matt called.
"It's too early for anyone to talk." I said. "Here eat something before you put your shoes on to go." Carson said. "I'll take it with me." I said. "Do you have time?" Matt asked. "Nope. I have forty minutes to get there and clock in." I said. Carson quickly put my breakfast into a bowl before putting the lid on it and putting it in a backpack.
"When your done with work change into the outfit that is in your backseat. Everything needed is in the bottom of the bag." Carson said. I kissed them both after putting my shoes on and pulling a jacket on. It's Christmas Eve. I yawned as I got into my truck.
I started it up and went to work. When I got there, I went in and clocked in. Then got my breakfast out. The holiday is really busy. I didn't even have time for breakfast until lunch. Ansilee has to wake me up when I fell asleep during lunch. I had to send my boys a text saying that I was so tired that I may just want to crash when I get home.
At the end of my shift, I called one of them. "Hey baby girl. How was work?" Carson answered Matt's phone. "Tiring. I want a hot bath and a warm bed." I said while yawning. "Think you can hold on for maybe three more hours?" He asked. "Don't know." I said. "Just change and meet us at the place on the piece of paper." Carson said before moaning.
"Fine." I said. "You both owe me for having sex without me." I said. Carson chuckled. "Sorry baby. We'll make up for it later." Matt said. "You better because I'm exhausted and you both better have a great explanation." I said as I finished changing. I then went to the address. It was a really nice restaurant. I was in a pair of jeans and a sweater with my favorite boots.
I parked next to an empty spot before getting a text to go in when I got there. I got out and went inside. The lady showed the way to a table. Matt and Carson were already at the table. Carson got up to let me sit next to him. Then sat back down in the booth.
"Still tired baby girl?" Carson asked. "Yeah. I wish I could of had a nap." I said. Carson threw his arm over the back of the booth seat. We ordered dinner and talked most of the time. I yawned a few times during it. When our food came we ate in near silence before paying the tab.
"I had a ranch hand come and get your truck so we won't have to leave it here." Carson said. "Hope there wasn't anything valuable in it." Matt said. "Only makeup and clothes." I said. They both pulled their wallets out. That's incredibly strange. Carson then stood and helped me up.
Matt followed. They put me in the front seat of the truck. Matt was driving. After a few minutes we stopped and got out. "Going to need this for our trip." Carson said getting out. He opened my door and helped me out before helping me into a windbreaker. They both took one of my hands and led the way.
After a few minutes I spotted our horses. They helped me onto mine as they mounted up. They fell to the sides of me. After a little bit longer, I spotted a candle lit trail. I went down it for a little bit before dismounting. I left Akita there while I continued on. There were tea lights strung from the branches of the tree.
The sun was very low in the sky casting a dusky look on the place. The lights wrapped around the tree down to the ground. A small table was sat at the base of the tree. A small box with a vase of wild flowers. The same ones that usually grow here in the spring to late fall.
Two hands clasped mine. "It's been an amazing year. Since fall hit we never had much time for each other. I know that we do need to spend more time together, we made the promise to stay together and that is what we are going to do. We're great together. We belong together no matter what other people may say." Matt said standing in front of me.
"I wanted to date you before leaving, but I was scared since you and Matt were already dating. I admitted that to him two days into our relationship. I'm admitting it to you now before we continue. It's a beautiful relationship that can get through anything. We both wanted to date you before we even did. Now that we have, we want to go to the next step." Carson said. I was trying not to cry.
He pulled me to him. I buried my head in his chest. He wrapped his arms around me. Then picked me up. "There's no right way or wrong way." Matt said. I lifted my head to look at him. One of his hands rested on my back. "Keegan." Carson said. He moved his hands to my thighs.
"Keeg." Matt said from the other side of Carson. I picked my head up. Carson kissed my cheek. "We already knew what we wanted after we both dated you for the short amount of time." Carson said. "We gave you the promise ring because we knew the three of us weren't ready just yet for the real thing." Matt said. They think we're ready for that next step?
"We know your tired after getting up at four every morning this week. And you do get to sleep in tomorrow so that's what we are going to let you do." Carson said. "I know you two didn't drag me out here just to say this." I said. They both smirked. Carson set me on my feet.
Then they both did what I never thought would happen.
