Chapter 4
The next day at school I go there and someone grabs the back of my hoodie and drags me in the janitors closet. I quickly turn to see Gerard. "Hey, this is my crew, I told you their names already and they know your name cuz I told them yesterday."
The one who was in the bushes eating pop tarts I think his name was Ryan says "We've noticed the bruises on your face and the wrap on your hand...What happened."
I quickly say "nothing."
Miles then says, "come on that's obviously nothing."
I sigh and say, "I fell off my bike."
Frank says, "liar, what really happened."
I didn't want to be thought of as a freak, I started to get nervous. I had to think of an excuse. "I errr I ehhh umm I gotta go," I say and quickly open the door. I run to my class and sit in the back once again.
Gerard's P.O.V
I saw the bruises in the park all over her. They're not from falling obviously, so I knew she was lying, we all knew. Someone did that to her and we gotta find out. In the first period, we have the same class so I'm going to try and talk to her there. I run into class and sit next to her in the back. The back corners are always empty I don't see why Sylvia sits back here. "Sylvia, who gave you those bruises," I whisper. She purposely ignores me and doodles in her notebook. What's the drawing? I look over and see.... Oh my gerd she is writing MyEnd stuff! I smile it's shocking she doesn't realize I'm their lead singer. She had such pretty handwriting. "Dude who gave you those bruises," I whispered shaking Shadow. She glances over at me and says "Grr what." I ask the question again and she says, "its...I..eh..it's no..nothing." I shake my head and grab her hand. She yelps in pain and I realize I grabbed her bandaged hand.
I quickly say, "I'm sorry, and it isn't anything. Tell me!"
She just stares at me trying to hold back tears and says, "I'll tell you after school." I sigh as class starts. I didn't see her for the rest of the school day. After school, I run to the band and tell them that we're meeting her at the park. We all walk there. When we get there I see Sylvia sitting on the bench. I watch her get up clenching her fist. She sighs and quickly runs the opposite way. We all chase after her. She was fast. She ran into the forest and we soon lost her. Soon we were able to hear small sobs and hear Sylvia say "I..I just can't, I'm not ready to tell them. Grr, I'm scared to tell them." We all realized she was talking to herself. I run up to her and wrap my arms around her. Her whole body goes stiff and she just sits there.
"Sylvia, please tell us, I know you're scared but you gotta, we can help," I say.
Shadow moves in my arms trying to get out of my grip. "Let go of me! None of you can help, I'm sorry," She yelled. Tears were streaming down her face making her eyeliner run so it looked like she was crying black tears. She suddenly turned and ran deeper into the woods. We chased after her, but the brashest kept hitting us so we had to slow down. How's she running through this that fast? I then see the cuts and scraps from the branches and thorns cutting through her jacket and into some of her flesh. We soon lose her. Where did she go?
