Let's go Chapter 1

Mia stared at the new, unfamiliar territory she had just been thrown into.
A lot more trees than the suburbs of busy London city, back home where she truly felt she belonged.
The air felt clearer. She took a deep breath in, and out, focusing on the foreign, clean air in her lungs. She missed the feeling of smoke and industrialisation overwhelming her body. It was so different.

Working for her father at home was a lot easier - a lot of gardens and home renovations. Modern architecture, history behind that, deep in the walls, cemented into the Soil. The paved, London soil. Here, it was acres upon acres of land. No history. Just all Nature, a little too green for her liking. It's natures fault she didn't have her Mum... the purest substance on earth, nature's „beautiful" water, claimed Mrs Parker's life. The thought of water was repulsive to Mia.

Her Dad, on the other hand, loved the move. The new beginning. A new world. A new... home? But Mia knew this wasn't home. Home is where Mum is... where mum was. Not here. In north America.  At home, in the massive city in the tiny country in Europe. That's home. Mum was home.
Mia wondered how her Mum feels about the move. Brave- a new adventure. Yet foreign.. and running from their problems. Darren wanted a new life... Mia wanted to her old life, her old Mum. But no matter where she was she wasn't coming back. But London would always feel closer to her.

Mia was aware of the new job her father had be signed too, a few hours from her new house. Her father had told her on the flight out here, that they would be renovating 5 acres of land for a family, and would be staying in a near-by lodge for a few months. More moving. More change. Further from the little house of the suburbs of London.

The drive up there was filled with dark silence. No one spoke. Nor father, nor daughter. But the voices in Mia's head kept shouting. About the hate she had for New Jersey. The hate for change.

A few hours later, they pulled up. A big, White House loomed over them. Mia kept her eyes big to see it. Looking to the side, a river ran through the houses' grounds.

The water.

The dark, yet glistening water.

Tears kissed her cheeks as her father got out the truck.

All she could think about

Was her Mother's Ocean Eyes
