I've struggled with depression since I was ten years old. I'm sixteen now, and it's been a rough six years. And I was completely alone when learning how to love myself. All the self-care threads I read were clearly written by people without depression.
It's easy to say "exercise and think positive!" when that's never been a struggle for you. When you wake up every day with enough energy and motivation to do simple tasks, it can be difficult to understand what it's like for someone who doesn't.
It's hard for people to understand that you can't exactly control your invasive thoughts, or that it isn't as simple as just looking on the bright side. Because to someone with depression, there is no bright side. There's no light at the end of the tunnel, there's just the tunnel.
So my goal with this book is to give you advice that quite literally saved my life. No bullshit, just the details of the rough journey I've been on since fourth grade, and how I overcame it. If I can make just one person happy with this book, I'll have reached my goal.
Thank you.

(P.S.: this book looks a lot cooler if you're reading it on mobile.)
Note: If you are sensitive to topics like depression, anxiety, self-harm, alcohol, eating disorders, etc. this book may not be for you.
