Learn what makes you feel better.
For me it's music. There's something about the album "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" by My Chemical Romance that makes me happy, no matter how terrible my day has been. It's so soothing to me, like an old friend lives within my earbuds.
Sometimes I write it down. I'm fifteen and I still keep a diary. Writing your thoughts down is a good way to keep them organized, to un-jumble them a little. For me, it always helps to see it on paper so I can make sense of them.
Sometimes I draw. I like the smooth feeling of colored pencil gliding across the paper, or watching the colors blend together, or using a q-tip to blend plain pencils. I even like the rough, scratchy feeling of using charcoal pencils.
My point is, find a healthy way to cope with your depression. Don't do anything that is going to hurt you or someone else, and you'll already be living a much happier life.
