Please Don't leave (Violentine)

Chapter 12

'Am I really gonna do this?' She kept asking herself. 'Violet needs me, but this is about me, not her isn't it.' It was like she had a devil and an angel on her shoulder, debating whether or not she should stay or go. She had screamed more than once since entering her dorm, trying to get some of her anger and sadness out, trying anything but to no avail. If someone were to ask her how she felt her answer would have been stuck, she felt stuck, it was either she gets someone killed by staying or she goes and ends up hurting Violet and everyone else, she just didn't know what the hell she was going to do.

She was snapped out of her thoughts by a knock on the door and the muffled voice of Violet asking her if she could come in.

"It's open", she responded quietly but loud enough for Violet to hear her.

When the door open she looked up from where she was laying on the bed face down with her face in the pillow.

"Hey, I know you want to be left alone right now, but we can all hear your screaming from out in the courtyard you wanna...you know keep it down a little?" 

Clementine choked on air, she knew what Violet meant but she couldn't help but find it pretty fuckin' funny. When she started to giggle, Violet, then realized what she said and became a stuttering mess.

"I mean...um....you..k..know...like..um...stop..screaming..into the..the pillow." After she finished Clementine was full on laughing to the point she was practically wheezing.

Violet smiled when she heard Clem laughing, she was relieved that she was finally laughing again and not hiding away and sometimes screaming at people. She eventually snapped out of her little smiley gaze when there was a knock on the door and a concerned Louis calling out to them to see if they were okay.

"Hey, guys you alright?" He asked.

Surprisingly Clementine was the one to speak, "Yeah, fine, Vi just said something stupid."

After she said that she looked at Clementine with a glare but Clem just smiled innocently at her.

After he got a response he opened the door with a grin on his face, "What'd she say?" He asked overly excited.

"Why don't you tell him, Vi?" Clementine questioned now smirking mischievously at Violet.

"Nah I think I'll pass", she replied.

"You sure or do you want me to tell him", she asked her smirk growing.

Violet glared at her again and then replied, "NO....no you are not going to tell him what I said, I will."

"Okay, what the fuck did you say because we could hear her laughing from out in the courtyard?" Louis asked still smiling.

"Well Ia asked her if she could..ya know...stop screaming..because we could hear it from out in the courtyard," Violet responded quietly.

Louis also found this funny and started to laugh his ass off leaning against the door frame he wheezed out, "You couldn't have asked something like, 'Hey are you okay' or 'hey could you maybe pipe down, your being awfully noisy', actually scratch that, that's just as bad."

"Alright, alright it wasn't that funny so get your minds out of the gutter," Violet demanded still blushing from embarrassment.

"Okay, okay yeah you have a point, sorry," Clementine said after she calmed down, Louis, on the other hand, was still laughing his ass off. Violet thought that he would piss himself soon if he didn't stop.

"Louis, calm down before you piss your self from laughing so hard," Violet said, though secretly she hoped he would actually pee himself so she could tease him about it later.

"Okay, o-okay, I-I'm sorry, but y-you actually said that?" He asked between giggles.

"Yes asshole I did, now stop giggling like a 5-year-old and go away." She said with annoyance.

"Fine, fine I'm going. But if we hear any weird noises we'll be back."He replied with a shit eating grin on his face.

"Louis, I swear to God I'm about to stab you, fuck off." She said as she raised her middle finger.

"Okay, okay I'll go, see you guys in a few?" He asked.

"Yeah we'll be out in a little while," Clementine spoke up after Violet looked t her, her voice was a little hoarse from the screaming she did into her pillow, she knew she'd regret screaming later but at the moment she didn't really care.

"Okay, well bye." Louis waved goodbye in an overly exaggerated way causing Violet to roll her eyes, as he left he closed the door and left the room in silence for a few minutes until Violet broke it.

"Are you really thinking of leaving?" Violet questioned in a quiet voice.

"Vi...."

"Be honest with me Clem, are you really thinking of leaving?" She asked again.

"It's just a thought Vi it doesn't mean I'm leaving for sure." 

"But you still thought about it?"

"Yes, yes I did," Clem replied as she sat up more and lent against the wall. "I...I'm not sure how I'm going to get over this Vi...I've lost a lot of people before but....." She trailed off not knowing how to finish.

"Clem, I get it, really, I do, but you can't run away from your problems, trust me I've tried.....it doesn't work." 

"I know, Vi, but...this everything that's happening... I...I just can't deal with it...not anymore...I've been dealing with lose my whole life...but now...I just can't....not anymore." When she finished a tear rolled down her cheek, remembering all the people she's lost, starting with her parents when she saw them in Savannah after Lee saved her from the stranger. She had lost so many people that she loved, she had known AJ the longest of all of them and she couldn't stand not seeing his face every day, hearing him call her name every time she went out when she came back,she couldn't handle it and when she can't handle something she needs a distraction, leaving and living on the road again would be one.

"Okay, I...I get it but no matter how much you want to leave I'm not giving up on you." After she said that she saw Clem tense up a little, she wasn't sure why she did but she knew there was a reason but instead of asking she went over, got on the bed beside her and pulled Clem into her so that her head was on her chest and she could hear her heartbeat. Clem wrapped her arms around her waist and they both fell asleep, in each other arms.

A/N: Sorry for not updating sooner had a small amount of writer's block, but I'm gonna keep the story going. Honestly, this is a filler chapter but hope you enjoyed anyways.
