Haley's POV:

It's been a long day, but I've finally arrived to Katy's house.

I ring the door bell, and she answers then pulls me into a tight hug.

"I'm so glad you're here." She smiles, and I smile back.

"Katy, I came here to forget what happened in Florida. I want to forget what happened with Dan and my parents. Let's not speak of either of them, ok?" I say and she nods then shows me my room.

I set my bags down, then jump into bed and fall fast asleep, ready for tomorrow.

*morning*

"WAKE UP!" Katy screams in my ear.

"Ugh why?" I whine as I sit up.

"First day of school for you!" She hollers and exits the room.

I get out of bed and go to the bathroom to plug in my straightening iron. I took a shower last

night, so I don't need to take one tonight.

As my iron is heating, I go over to the closet and pull out the clothes I hung up last night. I decide to go with a black and white dress with sun flowers all over it. It goes down to my mid thy. It's slick against my chest and stomach, but flows a little at the area above my butt.

The dress has thick straps, but not sleeves so I decide to wear a yellow scarf with it, and my white hightops for shoes.

I go into the bathroom and apply some mascara, eyeliner, and a little bit of powder. I grab my straightener and begin to straighten my long hair.

Once I'm done I rush down stairs to the newly cooked bacon. Katy wants to be a chef, so she said she would be doing all the cooking around here. Which isn't bad because she's an amazing cook.

We ate our breakfast, but before you know it the bus was at the bus stop. We rushed out the door, and into the bus where we took the back seats.

Two boys get on the bus, and I see a big bright smile form on Katy's face.

"Haley, this is Justin and Asher." She says, motioning to the boys then leans over and kisses the one named Justin.

The bus ride consisted of would you rather, truth or dare, and what are the odds, until we finally got to school.

We walked into school together, but separated when the first period bell rang. They all went to class, while I was stuck going to the office to pick up my schedule.

"Haley Blue." I tell the front desk lady, as a man comes out of a nearby office.

"Haley Blue? I've seen your records. I hear you're best quarterback of Your old district in

Florida." The man says.

"Um, yes. That's me." I reply awkwardly.

"Oh, sorry. I'm coach Grier! Do you think you'll be trying out for football this season?" He asks.

"I'm thinking about it." I say, and he tells me that I should then walks away as the lady gives me my paper.

As I'm walking to my class, I run into something hard.

"Ouch." I mumble as I pick myself and my books up.

I hear a chuckle then I look up to see a guy.

He is probably a six inches taller than me, and his eyes are bright blue.

"Are you going to say sorry?" I ask him, annoyed.

"Hey, you ran into me." He laughs then walks away.
