August?
Cullen
I lay down on the padding that is laid on the floor like a bed. I have two blankets and a small pillow. There is a bunch of food stashed in this small pod, but not enough to last me more than a year.
This wasn't supposed to be this way. We were supposed to grow up and beat all of the bad guys, but I was sent off into space constantly orbiting around the earth. Sometimes I liked to look out the window and see where I am above the earth. Sometimes I see where Kit-Island is and smile, knowing that somewhere down there, Maia, Gwen, Arabella, and everyone else was hopefully safe and sound. Somewhere no one could get them. SOmewhere with air.
The pod beeps and sucks the carbon dioxide of the air, my head becomes light and I feel dangerously dizzy until recycled oxygen is circulated back into the pod. I take a deep breath in and look out of the window, I'm passing by France.
Nothing happens up here. I feel like a lonely bird flying in cold air over an ocean with a million beautiful aquatic animals, hovering over a rainforest with billions of insects crawling around the floor carrying things eight times their weight.
I'm still in space, above the earth, feeling meaningless in this black pool of water.
