Cullen

I really have no clue where the hell I am.

Where am I?

I look out of the window and see that I'm passing over the New York area. That's something I do every day. It lets me know that I'm almost looking over Kit-Island and I hope that Ara and Maia are doing alright if they were even still there. Maybe they had migrated to someplace safer than the island, which I wouldn't be surprised by.

The silence has started to mess with my head. I can't think about anything except for the fact that I want Maia to be by my side like we thought we would always be. In September I found a small radio that said the date and time on it, but it didn't always work. It only played early two-thousands hits when it did, so I thoroughly enjoyed when it was shut off.

"Maia I miss you," I say to myself. That was the moment that I realized I was crazy. Whether it was for her or in general, I was crazy, and I wanted to leave. "If you're in trouble, if anything tries to hurt you, I'm going to beat it if—when—I get back down there. Nothing's gonna keep me from you anymore, that's a promise."
