It burns my throat
Like campfire smoke,When I start thinking about you.
Everything seems to burn away
Everyone says stay away from the fire.
Fire burns.Like my memory of you.
A kiss that never happened,
A flower that never bloomed.I erase the thoughts of me being with you.
Because you will soon erase yourself into a new reality. And leave me holding the pencil
And rewrite selfish thought of how I wish there was you and meA us
And watch it burn in the fireAnd blow away with the campfire smoke.
