Lucas's P.O.V.

I slowly woke up to my parents yelling. "Seriously?! With that son of a bitch?!" My daddy yelled. "Shut up, Jean! You're going to wake Lucas and Amber..!" The rest of the yelling was hard to hear, so I climbed out of bed, slowly opened my door, then crawled to the staircase. I saw my mommy and daddy arguing in the living room from upstairs. I looked around, then shook my head and my clothes, skin, and everything else blended in with my surroundings. A little trick I can do with my hair! Since my mommy told me I do live off of my magic.

"I don't give a fuck! Are you fucking pregnant?!" My mommy looked down as she rubbed her stomach. "I can't fucking...You fucking are!" He growled and punched the wall. She looked down as her ears lowered. "Fuck you, fuck this fucking family, you're a fucking slut, Evangeline. A fucking slut!" My mom sighed, then said, "I have no right to be mad at you..." He rolled his eyes as he said, "damn right. Next fucking time I catch you doing that shit, I'm getting a divorce." Her eyes widen as she looked at him. "A divorce..?!" He slapped her hard against her face which caused her to whimper. "Yes, a fucking divorce. I'm not doing this shit, bitch." "J-Jean! You can't...!" "Oh yes I fucking can! What was that asshole's name again?!" "L-Levi...Please...don't, Jean...I-" "You love me? That's what you were going to say. But you clearly fucking don't if YOU FUCKING CHEATED ON ME!" He growled, then stomped out of the house, slamming the door shut behind him. My mommy looked down as she held her stomach. "I can't take care of them if he leaves...Then just don't do it...What am I thinking...I shouldn't have done it...why did I do it...?" She whimpered and I frowned. "I need to go see if the kids are awake..." She sighed out, then started walking towards the stairs. I quickly crawled back to my room, closed my door carefully, then crawled into my bed as I slowly turned back to my original colors. I closed my eyes as I pulled my blanket up to my nose, and my door opened. I heard my mommy sigh, then the door closed again. What's a divorce...? What just happened...? What does daddy mean by that? Did she cheat on a game? And why was she rubbing her stomach? Stomachache? Who's Levi..?

So many questions ran through my mind, back and forth. I wanted to sleep. I wanted to ask Eli if he knew anyone of that...but I couldn't stop thinking. My mind didn't let me rest. I whimpered as I squeezed my eyes shut. Someone needs to tell me what's going on! I felt something tap my shoulder, and I opened my eyes to see what it was. It was a he. He looked like he was 5 or 6. He had black skin, black hair, black clothes, but his skin faded to white near his legs and feet. His eyes were white, he had white demon horns and there was a white streak in his hair while the back of his eyes were black. He also had red marking on his face, and he had a magic staff thing that was black, and a little red ball in the little staff thing. He was also surrounded by smoke.

I opened my mouth to scream, but nothing came out. He chuckled, then sighed. "My name's Kage." I blinked. "You won't be able to talk for 20 minutes. I can't control the time...Anyways. I'm here to uh...Do sh-..stuff...for you in the future. You, and two others, have a very strong and powerful being inside of you all. I'm here to help control it. If we aren't here to do that, then that being could possibly destroy the world." My eyes widened as I started shaking. "Oh don't worry. It only comes out when you're extremely mad, or extremely sad. After the first time it comes out, it can come out almost whenever it wants depending on the type of person you are, whether you're strong and can contain it, or weak and let it out." I started shaking as I looked down. He hummed, then sighed. "Cheer up. Hopefully that time doesn't come soon..." He looked to the side.

After a few more minutes, I opened my mouth and said, "ahhhhh." He yelped, then looked at me. I licked my lips, then cleared my throat. "Uhm..." I looked around, then looked at Kage. "Hi..you know my name, yeah?" Kage nodded. "I do, Lucas." I blinked, then sighed. "I know, I know. It's quite a lot to take in...But...You will eventually understand." He smiled at me, and I nodded. "O-ok..!" He looked around, then looked at me. "I heard it's your birthday tomorrow." I nodded rapidly as I smiled widely. "Uh-huh!~" I giggled. He blushed, then chuckled. "Cute...Uh...Happy early birthday." He said as he smiled at me. "Thank yooouuuu!!~" I giggled and hugged him tightly. "You're welcome." He said as he hugged me back. "Oh, and by the way...No one but you can see me." I hummed, then raised my eyebrow at him. "Why?" "Because I'm a certain kind of spirit. I don't have a choice to be seen or not. I can't make certain people see me. I can only be seen, by you. Because that's what I was 'programmed' to do." I blinked. "P-roo...grr-...am...mmed..? What's that?" I asked. He hummed, then said, "It's really only used when you're doing things to a machine, I guess? But I'm not a machine. Whatever, what I'm trying to say is, is that I was changed to be seen by you and you only because I was assigned your thing...you know, the thing inside of you." I shivered, then sighed. "That...makes sense...? I think..." He sighed roughly. "What are you unsure about?" "The big words you keep saying! What is uns-ir?" He chuckled. "Un-sure. It's when you're not sure about something." I gasped, then said, "ooooh!~ And what's ass-ind?" He laughed a bit, then said, "As-signed. It's where you're given a job to do, or a thing to do." I nodded. "Is that all the questions you have?" I nodded as I smiled widely. "Yes it is!~ Thank you!~" "You're very welcome, Lucas." He said as he smiled at me. I smiled back at him as I giggled.

"Soooo, Kaaaage..?" He hummed as he looked at me. "Yes?" "What do you doooo?" He hummed again. "Like I said. I help you with that thing inside of you. I help control it. Other than that I guess I'm just here for company. Anyways, you should get some sleep. Your birthday is tomorrow, after all." He smiled at me. I looked at the time and it was 10:46 PM. I hummed. "Ok...Ye, ok!~" I giggled, then closed my eyes. Kage wrapped his arms around me as he sighed, and I slowly fell asleep.

I slowly opened my eyes, but this time I wasn't in a white void with just my bed. I was in a grassy field with nothing but a few trees, a night sky, and pretty colors and stars. I looked around, then hummed. "Eliiiiii?" I called out. "I'm in the treeeeeeeeeeeeee~" I blinked, then looked around. "Which treeeeeeee?" "The one behind youuuuuuuuuuuu~" I stood up, then looked at the tree behind me. Eli smiled widely at me as he waved and giggled. "Hai hai!~" I giggled as I looked at him, then walked up to the tree and looked up at Eli. "How did you get so hiiiigh?~" He slowly climbed down the tree, then shrugged. "I dunno. But what all happened today?" I hummed. "Uhmmmuhmmmmmmmuuuummmmmm. Hm. Oh! I met this dude named Kage. And he's stuck with me forever like Fin. And MY BIRTHDAY'S SOOON. Oh. And my daddy was yelling at my mommy for cheating on him with this dude named Levi...I don't know what they mean by that. Like, does daddy like video games that much..?" Eli's eyes widened as his mouth opened, but nothing came out of his mouth. I raised my eyebrow at Eli. "What..?" Eli took a deep breath, then sighed as he started shaking. "M-m-m-m-my dad...h-is name is-...was...L-evi..." My eyes widened as I looked at him. "U-uhm...w-well there's other people named Lucas, like mee..s-so it couldn't be the same person...maybe.." Eli shook his head rapidly. "N-no...I-...it was him. My mama got mad cause he didn't come home till four in the morning one night, then she started yelling cause he cheated on her. Wi-th someone...named...E-vangeline...but the next day they seemed to be fine." I looked down as I remembered my daddy calling mommy Evangeline. "My daddy called mommy Evangeline...But why..?" "That's her name. My mommy's name was Natalia and my papa's name was Levi. Natalia Rodriguez married Levi Carter. They told me that story before they told us their names. I-...I know what 'cheating' is too..." I sighed as I looked around. They told me their names were mommy and daddy... I then looked up and looked at Eli. "So..what's cheating..?" "U-uhm..." He sighed, then said, "It's where one person kinda loves someone else, so they go be with them behind the other person's back..." "But...can't the other person just turn around? And be with? You mean like, hang out?" Eli shakes his head.
"L-ike when your parents say they love each other. B-but they also say that to someone else. They don't regret it until consequences come in..." I scratched my neck as I blinked. "What's regreet? And what's that big word you said?" "Re-gret. Like when you say something mean, then apologize right after. Con-se-quences. Like when you get in trouble for doing something bad." I nodded as I said, "oohh...that's horrible!" I frowned. Eli frowned. "That's what your parents meant when they were talking about your mom cheating on your dad, and now she's sad while he's probably mad." I looked down, then sat down and hugged my legs. "I don't want my parents to be mad or sad..." Eli sighed, then sat in front of me. "I know. You should talk to them about it, Lucas." I looked down at my feet as I shrugged. "What if they get mad at me..?" "They'll get it over it soon, they have to." I hummed as I stared at my feet. Eli sighed, then looked around, then lifted my head up. "Happy birthday, Lucas!~" I blushed as I looked at him. "I-is it even my birthday...?" He nodded. "It's 12:00!!!" My ears perked up as my eyes widened. "I-it is!?" He nodded rapidly as he smiled widely. I smiled widely as my tail started wagging. "YAY!!!~" Eli chuckled and hugged me tightly as he smiled. I giggled as I hugged him back tightly. "Have a wonderful birthday, Lucas! We'll be together forever!" I smiled wider as my tail wagged faster. "Thank youu!!~ And yaaaay!!~" Eli smiled widely, then petted my head. I slowly fell asleep as I purred loudly...
