"This is my fault." He whispered.
The bullet had just missed your heart, but the blood pouring on the ground meant a dead end for you.
You didn't know where the nearest hospital was. Heck you didnt even know where you were. By the time you got there you would die from blood loss.
The shock from the wound began turning to pain.
But this was for the best right?
It's what you had asked for.
"BEN its okay... at least you stopped. I didn't want you to do anything you'd regret. Here-"
You touched your wound and blood smeared or your fingers. You held it up to him.
"Now you can be free."
BEN expression hardened. He pushed your hand away.
"Dont be stupid _____. Theres no way I can accept that; not after what I've done to you."
Your heart sank.
What was he saying?
"But... you..."
You didn't understand. This would make him free.
It's what he always wanted.
"I don't need it anymore. It's not important. Listen-"
"No, you listen." You said quickly. "Shut up and listen to me. I loved that boy from all those years ago and I still do. I loved his stupid face, and the way he smiled at me, and the way he said my name. That will never change. You are Ben and I love you. I love you, you idiot..."
"______." BEN whispered.
"You're-..."
You could no longer speak.
Your vision finally faded. And your world slipped into darkness.

BEN's P.O.V.Her eyes fluttered shut and her hand fell.She couldn't be dead...She couldn't be..."______." I shook her arm. "Hey..."No response. I listened to her chest. No breathing.I checked her pulse.No heartbeat.I felt my heart sink in my chest.My hands shook.This was my fault.
This was all my fault...."No..._____ please don't leave me." I gasped, pulling her cold body closer to mine.Without her, there was nothing left.No one else left who cared about me...I loved her.I shouldn't have waited until it was too late.I waited until it was too late to tell her I love her.And now, no matter how loud I shout and cry...
She'll never hear me.
I didn't expect her to return the feelings.I was the monster who subjected her to years of misery.
Her brother was right.
I was an abomination, who should have died in that lake.But yet she said those words.
It begins to rain.
I stand, with ______ cradled in my arms, carrying her back inside the warehouse.Then I hear a delicate clink behind me, like glass.I turn and spot my ocarina on the floor.It must have fallen out of my pocket when I stood.Heal her...A voice in my head whispers to me.You can still help her...I look down at _____. Then back at the instrument.
Then it hits me.The song.I place her gently on the ground before turning to the ocarina. I reach down and pick it up, grazing my fingers over the shiny blue gloss.I knew what I had to do.It was so simple.I kneel down next to ______'s body, planting a chaste kiss on her forehead.This is the way it should be.
Love is sacrifice...
My life for hers.
