CHAPTER 1: DREAMCATHER

"One!Two! Three! From the top! Again ", echoed Miss Diana, the dance instructor. Her voice filled the dance studio as her students trying to grasp the lesson for that day. That went on for the next few hours.

"Wow ... you've improved a lot "mouthed Sharon. Rain sure will be proud of you "she added. It's known to her that he was a huge fan of that global star. Even she herself was proud how much he have improved in his dancing. She smiled unknowingly.

"Focus girl...don't droll over me " he said which startled her , not before earning him the dagger-stare-of-the-century from her, which he find it endearing at times and send strange emotion through him that he barely know.

"That's all for today. Now get change and off you go. See you tomorrow "Miss Diana further instructed.

" Park Jimin ... can I see you for a moment ? "He was busy packing his stuffs and getting ready for the next class. He motioned her to go ahead as she was waiting for him.Miss Diana approached him and she bow before excusing herself. As other students move around making their way out, Miss Diana motioned them so that they moved to a quieter place.

When they are both seated at her office, she handed something to Park Jimin.

"Remembered the evaluation team from SOPA last week?"She asked him.

"Yes Miss, what about them? "he asked.

"You topped the ranking and they want you to continue your study there. And there's this company too that are very much interested to debut you. But you need to go for an audition before becoming a trainee. I don't have much detail about that but this is great opportunity for you. Didn't you say that you wanted to become like Rain one day? she further explained.

A now excited Park Jimin can hardly contain his happiness. He has been waiting for this chance, for a chance to become a performer. He knew that was what he wanted as he was inspired by his role model. Seeing this, Miss Diana continues on.

"But you need to tell your parents about this. Why don't you ask them to come and see me tomorrow so that I can discuss this with them?" Park Jimin nodded. He will need to tell his parent before everything is confirmed and only then will he break the news to Sharon.

That night, Park Jimin can hardly wait for tomorrow. He's been tight lip about the newsbut since everything was settled and that he'll move to Seoul next week, it was about time he broke the news to Sharon. He told the news to their other friends and made them promise not to tell her because he wanted to tell her himself. It has always been this way. Even since their primary days. With her, he always has this urge to share what is happening to him. He's been so comfortable around her and that to him perhaps they are from the same neighbourhood.

So, you're leaving next week?" responded Sharon when he broke the news the next day. They were having breakfast with their other friends that morning.

She can't hardly contain her excitement that she unconsciously keeps slapping on him like she normally does, which earns her a dagger stare in reward. They will definitely need to talk more about this later, she thought.

"So, you're not sad that I'm leaving,huh? He sulked as they sit on the swing in the playground that later that night. They have just finished their English lesson at the academy and the rest of their friends have left for home. They havestopped atthe playground because she wanted to go for a swing ride.

"Sad?" she asked. He looked at her. It has never occurs to her. Now that she thinks of it, it does stings a little because she'll be apart from her close friend. Her childhood friend. But then, she smiled and looked at him.

"I want you to shine. Shine brightly from where you are that it'll reach whenever I am." She added.

He smiled. He knew there's a dream that he needs to make come true, even if it means to beparted from his best friend.
