Hansol's POV

-Joshua you can sit beside Chaeyeon.
The teacher said, Joshua nodded and sat down on the seat right in front of me next to Chaeyeon who had big and sparkling heart-eyes. When he shaked her hand and said "hi" she squealed a bit. I didn't want to judge her since I've never spoken to her but her sudden crush just made me sick. I mean the new kid was obviously handsome and his face just screamed "Disney prince material" but she doesn't even know him. He then turned around and said:
-Hi I'm Joshua, nice to meet you.
Both me and Seungkwan answered back politely and then we quickly went back to listening at the lecture before our teacher would notice our small talk.

The hour went by and it was finally time for the best time of the day, LUNCH BREAK. But before me and Seungkwan had the chance to leave Joshua put his hand on my shoulder. I jumped from the sudden and unexpected touch.
-I'm sorry, I didn't want to startle you but I wanted to ask if I could sit with you and Seungkwan at lunch?
I looked over at Seungkwan and he nodded.
-Sure why not.
He smiled a bright smile before we left.

Mingyu's POV

I ran quickly from my lecture to the cafeteria, I was supposed to meet Hansol and Seungkwan there for lunch but when I arrived I saw someone new sitting beside Hansol. They were all laughing but I decided not to think too much about it. I grabbed a tray and ordered my food before walking towards their table. Hansol saw me and waved and I smiled in response.
-Hi Hansolie, how was class?
I asked Hansol.
-Good, I made a new friend, meet Joshua!
I couldn't help to feel a bit jealous when he and Joshua smiled against each other but I plastered on a big smile and shook Joshuas hand. Our eyes then met and my guts told me that he wasn't too keen on being my friend. But even though it felt wrong I convinced myself to be kind because after all Hansol was happy. They then continued their small talk about painters and underrated artists. Hansol smiled towards him and I just wished it was me he flashed his adorable gummy smile to and not that Joshua guy but I didn't want us to fight again so I just kept quiet and finished my food.

-I gotta go now, I have math. Are we still hanging out in the afternoon Hansol?
I stood up and prepared myself for leaving the table, I glanced over at Hansol and he looked mildly worried. He then spoke up with a guilty voice.
-Mingyu I'm sorry, I totally forgot and I promised Josh to guide him around after school.
Oh he forgot about our date, I felt a bit disappointed but at the same time it was understandable since he was so excited to have a new friend.
-Oh that's totally fine, I gotta study anyways.
I didn't need to study at all and it was just a white lie to make the situation sound less awkward. Hansol smiled at me before he started to talk to Joshua again and for the first time I felt a gap in our relationship.
