"So what are you doing later?" I asked Kevin as we made our way out of the school.

"I don't know I think I'm going to go skate," he said as he stood up from tying his black vans, his dirty blonde hair falling slightly over his eyes before pushing it back up.

Kevin has been skating since 4th grade. He is actually pretty good. And he also kind of dress like a skater. He was wearing a white thrasher shirt with black jeans and you could slightly see his white socks. He was skinny but he did have muscle.

"You still haven't taught me how to skate!" I pointed out as we made our way to my car. I always take Kevin home on Monday's.

"I know," he said. "How about this weekend?"

"Yeah sure that will work for me," I said before we got into the Volkswagen.

"You're probably going to suck ass," he laughed plugging his iPhone X into my charger.

"Haha!" I fake laugh. "I'll probably be better than you tho."

"Yeah definitely better than me!" He winked at me as I drove out of the parking lot.

My cheeks flushed for some odd reason even though he always winks at me. This time it just felt different. He thankfully didn't see my face all red.

"Oh shit Harper," Kevin randomly said as came to a red light.

"What...what happened?"

"I forgot I had to get something from the store for my mom, can u possibly drive me right now"?he asked.

"Sure," I shrugged.

"Thank you!"

I quickly parked my car near the front of Northgate before we both got out.

The cool air from inside the store hit me causing me to shiver. Kevin smiled at me.

"You're always cold you fucking loser," he told me.

I rolled my eyes, flipping him off before making my way to the ice cream section. Kevin went off to get whatever his mom needed.

I scanned through all the ice cream flavors and decided to get the tub of mint n chip. Kevin texted me telling me he just got in line so I hurried over to him.

Once I found him I set the ice cream down in front of the cashier.

"Ice cream? Harper it's literally 20 degrees outside what they hell." Kevin exaggerated. We live in Lake Forest California and it is more like 50 degrees right now.

"It's never to cold for ice cream," I told him pulling out money to pay for the stuff.

"You're weird." He chuckled as he handed the lady 20 dollars before I could.

I signed. Kevin always pays for things. He never wants me too.

"I bet your going to end up eating half the tub," I smirked grabbing the bag with medication and my ice cream.

"Pfft no!" He said sarcastically.

I smiled hearing Kevin's phone go off saying he got a message. He smiled down at his phone as this thumbs started to move.

"Who is it?" I asked setting the bag in the back before I made my way to the drivers seat.

"Delilah," he answered.

For some reason I felt a pang of jealousy go through my veins. Delilah has liked Kevin since freshman year and for some reason it has always bothered me.

I honestly envied her. She was so pretty. She had really straight black hair with these big gray eyes. She was on the volleyball team and she was really good.
