I carefully parked my light blue Volkswagen bug convertible in the school parking lot. I got it a few months ago as a late birthday present after I turned 16. It was my dream car.

I grabbed my backpack from the back seat and swung it over my shoulder before making my way into the school.

Brooklyn was waiting for me right outside the doors like always. Her long dirty blonde hair was tied into a tight high ponytail. She was leaning up against the wall typing away on her iPhone 8.

"Hey," I said I made my way up to her.

"Damn Harper you look good today, probably dressing up for Kevin huh," she winked at me as she nudged her shoulder with mine.

I did put on a little more makeup on than usual but that was only because I couldn't sleep last time and I woke up looking like literal shit.

"Yup all for Kevin," I said jokingly referring to my black ripped jeans and white adidas shirt.

"So how is my favorite couple," she smirked as I playfully rolled my eyes at her.

"For the thousandths time it's never going to happen," we walked into the school making our way to our lockers which was next to each other.

"I'm pretty sure that he," before she could finish her sentence a pair of arms wrapped around her waist turning her around and kissing her straight on the lips.

I turned my head away from the couple. "Marcus you scared me!" Brooklyn giggled as she hugged him.

I told her I was going to go find Kevin and she nodded turning her attention back to her boyfriend.

I headed down the hall making my way over to Kevin's locker. I was looking down and all of a sudden I collided into someone's chest.

"Oh shit sorry," I quickly bent down to pick up the books that fell out of my hand.

"It's alright," a guys voice said. He kneeled on the floor helping me pick up the books.

His eyes met mine and he smiled at me. He was really cute. He had brown curly hair and hazel eyes. He stood up then helped me to my feet.

"I'm Andrew," he said handing me the last notebook.

"I'm Harper," I said quickly barely making eye contact. He was really cute that I couldn't even look him straight in the eye.

"I don't think I've ever seen you around school," he commented.

"Oh well I'm a junior," I nodded.

"I'm a senior," he said smiling at me making me grin. His smile was contagious it is adorable.

"Well I'll see you later Andrew," I started walking away.

"I hope so," Andrew said before turning around and walking to class.

I turned and my body almost colliding with someone else.

"Jesus Christ Kevin!" I put my hand over my chest since he startled me.

"Who was that guy?" he asked looking at Andrew as he walked further and further down the hall.

"Andrew?"

"Yeah, who is that?" He asked looking at me suspiciously.

"Some senior that I ran into," I explained with a smile on my face as I looked at my white shoes.

"What did he say?"

"Kevin why so many questions it really doesn't matter," I shrugged walking past him.
