Friday...
Today is the party...
And let me tell you I am definitely not thrilled about it.
Kevin is coming to pick me up in 30 minutes. I decided to wear this short skin tight black dress that crossed in the front and slightly showed my stomach.
I straightened my brown hair and putting more of a natural makeup look.
Kevin all of sudden just burst through my door causing me to jump in my seat.
"How'd you get in here?" I asked as I put a layer of lip gloss on my lips:
"Your Dad," he shrugged making his way over to me.
He had on a gray shirt with a dark blue windbreaker that said vans. He had on kakis and his new white vans that he just got on Wednesday when he dragged me to the mall with him.
I stood up from my vanity chair to show Kevin my outfit. His eyes widened as he scanned over my body not even trying to hide the fact he was doing it.
"Where do you think you're going dressed like that?" He said pointing to my outfit.
I rolled my eyes at him. "I think my outfit looks good."
"Yes it does but I think it looks a little too good."
"What? That makes no sense."
"Yeah it does make sense. You are not wearing that." He told me again with a raised eyebrow.
"What do you want me to wear? Sweats and a sweatshirt."
"No it's just this outfit...it's...it's kind of revealing and there is a lot and I mean a lot of drunk guys."
"Okay..."
"And I don't want them to hit on you," his voice lowering as he said the last couple words.
I smiled slightly kind of wanting to change into something that is more "appropriate."
I rolled my eyes knowing that Kevin can't tell me what I should and shouldn't wear even though it was pretty cute. I shook my head trying to clear my head from what I was thinking.
"I'm still going to wear this." I told him putting my hand on his shoulder.
"I'll be okay," I added before walking out of my room with Kevin following me giving me a list of reasons of why I should not wear the dress.
"Where do you think you're going?" I heard my dad say just as I was about to open the front door.
"A date!" Kevin explained quickly. I nodded my head in agreement as I fiddled with my fingers looking down at my black 3 inch heels.
"A date?" My father said questionably as I looked up to see his eyebrow raise.
"Yeah...he asked me out," I lied.
My dad smiled at me, "it's good that you guys are finally realizing your feelings towards each other."
My cheeks heated up as I looked over at Kevin as he looked down at the floor his cheeks slightly red.
Kevin cleared his throat and said we should get going. I hugged my father before we made our way to Kevin's car.
"A date, really?" I asked with an amused expression.
